It's a bandwidth issue Tink, dragging up old threads causes problems but I'll have to leave the more technically minded to explain it lol.

As Neil said, we're working on a solution.

You know, on the 89.66587th thought I had after I posted... lol ... that thought occurred to me. No worries. I'll pull up no more until I hear back from the techie mods... lol ... A suggestion, if you would be so kind to pass along, Monstro, is to delete those those old threads and I could just start new ones with the same game/ topic/ subject/ title. Don't see a problem with that with the off topic threads, go for it, we can always merge if/when a solution is found.

It's all to do with database loading and performance issues, basically an old thread bump beyond a certain time results in the database working harder to rebuild the bumped thread for display on your PC every time you want to look at it.

I've taken the more recent posts from the old threads that have been brought back to life and created version 2 threads for them all. The old threads have been closed.

It was very good, the uni staging of Tanz der Vampire. It was amateur theatre but on a very very good and high level. They had a 45 piece orchestra for example.....our dear Professor Ambronsius was left out though. Was obviously very easy to do so, he simply "died out in the snow" at the beginning instead of being carried into Chagals inn.

One of the most interesting things was that they made a duet of "Die unstillbare Gier". And it worked very well. Sarah found Krolocks diary (ok, that does not exactly fit to the character but hey ;) ) and so she "read" the text out loud and started to sing the song. Soon Krolock stepped in and they sang it partly together but was happy to hear he sang some parts on his own as well.

What is interesting is that it fitted very well, sarah transferred the lyrics to her point of view, so for example instead of singing "Dass seine Trauer mir das Herz nicht brach, kann ich mir nicht verzeihn" she is singing "Dass seine Trauer dir das Herz nicht brach, kann ich dir nicht verzeihn". (for the germans on here ;)
The point is that the fact that sarah is included in the song and therefore knows about him struggling with his fate and regretting what he has done - this adds a lot of depth to it.
Of course one could argue whether it is likely that Krolock has a diary that he tells all of his feeling every night before going to bed.....or in his case every morning :D

but it was a great 2 hours, unfortunately tonight and yesterday were the only 2 performances

I'm happy to continue to have state stores in Pennsylvania. State stores sell bottled liquor and are owned by the state of PA. The issue has come up to be rid of the state stores and allow liquor to be sold by stores. I'm good with having to go out my way to buy liquor and good with other folks having to do same. Let's see, my homeTown has opened a casino, now folks want liquor sold in grocery stores. Time to legalize hookers, I guess ... ... lol...

I hope your toothache goes away Dave. Get help if it doesn't get better.

Thanks for the advice :-). I already did find a dentist here in the states, and surprisingly it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Anyway my insurance will cover the expense when I get back. So it's anti-biotics and painkillers till I see my dentist next week. Whether the tooth can be saved is another question ...

Oh, dear, sorry to hear. Hugz... but be patient. You never know where you will find love again. My first husband I found sitting in my parents' kitchen when I returned from shopping. He was a friend of a guy my sister was dating. Now mind you, I escaped that marriage due to it becoming abusive and other things. However, I did get a wonderful daughter (who just yesterday told me I'm her best friend sending me into a bout of weeping and she's 36 now) and three lovely grandies out of it , so there you go. Now, second AND LAST ... lol ... time around husband, he was my newspaper delivery person so I literally found him AND my newspapers on my front doorstep ... lol ... I married first time at 21 and that lasted 13 years. Second time around love hit at age 35 and that's gone strong now for 24 years ! So there ya go. Just be patient and love will come to you. I'm glad the campaigning and midterm elections are over here in the States. Now to all work together, go onward and upward and sort out the mess the former administration left behind in its wake. A mess of eight years cannot be repaired in two. Good luck to all involved and that's pretty much the world unless the States were to fall back to the isolationist ways of the former administration.

Are you talking about Night Of The Living Dead, original, black & white, released in, I think, 1968 ? I saw it when it first was in the theaters and I was pretty shocked at the ending. I guess I'm overly sensitive because I gasped out loud loudly then cried a bit... lol ...

I'm butting in because someone was finally blessed' enough to make for me on USA tv a horror series, The Walking Dead. I watched the premier or preview on On Demand last night and liked it immensely ! I'm not much for vampires or over-computerized werewolves so don't watch Twilight. I like old school werewolves like the original Wolfman starring Lon Chaney, Jr. And I liked An American Werewolf In London, but not the one in Paris. I think it's that I don't like over-computerization of films. I liked Wolf and The Howling. I liked Interview With A Vampire, but that's about it, though... hehe... I'll think of more. I don't like Bela Legosi's (sp) Dracula. I love Boris Karloff's Frankenstein. And now, I've discovered... lol ... I LOVE ZOMBIES ! ... :D ...

Don't expect to see an older version of what you've seen already, the storyline, characters, and events are very very different (which is why I can't honestly see it as a remake, although it's called one).

The only three things the two films have in common are........

1. The name of the movie.

2. Most of the action is set in a mall.

3. S*it loads of zombies.

Okay, we watched the second episode. I think my husband is a bit "eh" about the series now, but I liked the second episode as much as I did the first EXCEPT FOR THE LOVE SCENE. I don't need folks making love in a zombie film/ tv show, UNLESS IT'S BETWEEN THE ZOMBIES... ewww... lol ...

off to the gym...

I discovered yesterday that Hang Cool Teddy Bear, minus the ballads, is a decent album to listen to during a work out.

Though today's workout was Guns N Roses Live Era hooked up to the sound system they have in the gym, which is very good while lifting weights.
