Just had the shock of my life, logging onto facebook earlier, it seems that you can upload any image you want these days so when I saw someone's anatomy (use your imagination !) I was a little shocked and it's worrying being this is a networking site geared with young members also, you bet your bottom dollar I reported these images, if you see anything like this it needs to be reported.

I absolutely agree Zina. Sex education and age appropriate discussions at home help prevent hang ups, unnecessary anxiety and accidental pregnancies. It's not a matter of saying that anything goes....more helping children understand that sexuality is a wonderful part of life...but, a bit like fire, needs to be approached in an informed and respectful manner. I hope we have managed to convey to our kids that sex is nothing to be ashamed of, or worried about....but that it can bring about incredibly far reaching changes in people's lives.

I agree with this. Discussions, etc are necessary and at least over here, everyone gets hysterical at the school level concerning discussing sex in any way, even in health class. The rules are thick and unreal. In the home, it can be just as bad, especially in a heavily religious home. Hysteria extends to the home as well. But people forget that some art classics are unclothed.
But what must be prevented is posting porn, where the young kids do have access to Facebook. That is where caution has to come in. And I'm talking about obvious porn, not the pic of the statue of David.

Well, that's my point...ignorance is what attracts kids to porn...cause true hardcore is pretty boring for educated consumer...if you don't make any secrets about it and you don't really forbid it...sooner or later youngster will loose an interest...and if they don't...it will be a healthy interest...

Of course, I am talking about teenage years and up...anybody before teenage years shouldn't be discussed sex with anyway...

Watched the last episode of this Anne Frank programme today and it made me cry, it was so sad. I must dig out her diary and read it again, it's good but it too made me cry.

Never let anyone tell you renting is dead money - owning a house (or at least this house) by comparison is like trying to fill a bottomless pit with money. :-(

looks like the son of Jonty and Freddy Mercury

Boy (and because of your age you might not know who he is, I am forced to use that) if you want to know how funny that man is, download, buy or look up the film A Night at the opera....

for instance some of his quotes include...

A child of five would understand this. Send someone to fetch a child of five.

A woman is an occasional pleasure but a cigar is always a smoke.

Behind every successful man is a woman, behind her is his wife.

I didn't like the play, but then I saw it under adverse conditions - the curtain was up.

I have had a perfectly wonderful evening, but this wasn't it.

I intend to live forever, or die trying.

I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception.

I read in the newspapers they are going to have 30 minutes of intellectual stuff on television every Monday from 7:30 to 8. to educate America. They couldn't educate America if they started at 6:30.

My mother loved children - she would have given anything if I had been one.

and the final two

One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got into my pajamas I'll never know.

this one featured in a pub quiz game my dad got for Christmas

Old Groucho is responsible for a lot of great quotes (so I'll bore you with some more :D)

Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

Here's to our girlfriends and wives; may they never meet!

My cousin (who is now 44) in his school days, decided the only way to get through an exam was to cheat. So he bought a new pack of Bic Biros and taking advantage of them having 6 sides, sat down with a pair of compasses to 'engrave' onto the side of them, any information he thought he may forget (apparently if you buy different coloured bic biros you can even have a reference system....just don't agree to loan the teacher your pen!).

Turned up on exam day ... discovered he had forgotten the pens!

However, he'd spent so long painstakingly engraving the information, he'd remembered it. And passed.

Just looked at the site the meetlaaf guy posted (in the thread he started)...didn't someone once post a link to youtube vids of his on here once? they look familiar - at least the venue, the bloke and his way of 'performing'.

Well, American Idol has begun and we have a bit of the same ole same ole...but we do have an interesting contestant this time. Blind young man who graduated college at 19 and studied in England...who scates and does ballroom dancing...who learned to play classical piano and all that while being blind...he is pretty good and very poised and gracious...can't tell he is blind if you don't know it...so...somebody to root for...

Be calm! You will manage it and all will be worth it! Make lists of what you need to do and tick them off when completed (and make use of trusted ushers and bridesmaids ;) :-))
