The strange one has done this:
Which got me thinking. What are your top 20 Meaty live tracks? I think we should only allow a song to appear once, so FCOL and BOOH can't take up most of the spaces. ![]() After some head scratching mine are: Objects In The Rear View Mirror - Hudson Theater '93 For Crying Out Loud - El Mocambo '77 I'd Do Anything For Love - Hudson Theater '93 All Revved Up - El Mocambo '77 Good Girls Go To Heaven - Live Around The World ?? Comparing my list to your list is unjust.
You tend to look at the soundboards that have been officially released (or radio oriented). My favorites, as in the video of mine you posted, are abstract. You tend to dislike recordings that aren't soundboard sourced. I look for the great performance and bearability of the recording. You look for the great performance, as long as its Soundboard approved. Dusseldorf 1999, Birmingham 1988, Sheffield 1987, Glasgow 1983, and Hammersmith odeon 1985 may not be soundboard quality but the shows themselves are great and audio is excellent. You can tell whats going on. Then again, i have a far superior collection of recordings then most on here. and Im also familiar with every show I have. I made hard choices. Meats been supporting my channel recently and I added the LA from Houston to suffice. Its a great performance, but Midnight from Birmingham 1988 is far superior. Officially, Like E1 did it, Itd go:

I think Wario must have a pretty poor audio setup.

There is something to be said for sound quality. Putting a tatty audience recording on the stereo at full whack doesn't have the same effect as the real McCoy or a decent bootleg from a radio broadcast. That said, there's nothing wrong with audience recordings for the sake of curiousity. |
