~~~~ING AWESOME!!!!!!!!
Meat's always put on such memorable performances he's had fantastic backing bands.
Never knew he did the whole Springsteen on the piano thing and crowd surfing at the end, brilliant.
I've always mantained that I should have been born 20 years earlier, this just proves that once again.
That whole show looks brilliant. You kinda wonder why they released the Wembley gig on VHS if this one looks so much more intense. But then I've always thought they should just release them all. Lol.
can't see the file but if it's the same one i saw on youtube a few weeks back...meat doesn't do much singing and spends more time pumping the fist and jumping into the crowd
because sadly the rest of the show was.....hmmm, how shall i put it...........awful
This is the worst singing Ive ever heard of him, it's painful to watch 90% of the time, dont think Ive ever managed to get through the whole tape actually.....
Off Topic:
bit of useless RJ trivia:
The arena where this was filmed was actually the place where I first met Bubbles
so that's where the romance blossomed... and yeah it is the performance i found a couple of weeks back...his voice was wrecked...and the guitarist spends most of the time singing the song instead of meat
From his account, he was performing gimme shelter in the late 60's in detroit...would've loved to have heard him sing that with the voice he had then...basing his voice on the more then you deserve stage show performance
I was sent this on myspace awhile ago and it's great, love the crowd surfing at the end .
Found Bat Out Of Hell from the same concert I believe;
Only who thought it was a good idea to turn Pamela's mic up so that she sorta drowns him out a bit . Just found Dead Ringer For Love also...
it always amazes me that even at the worst shows he's still able to pull off a decent BOOH.
No in fact it was recorded a year before the Wembley recording
Dortmund - 1981
Wembley - 1982
He played it in Glasgow in 1983:
Setlist
1 Bat Out Of Hell
2 I'm Gonna Love Her For Both of Us
3 Razor's Edge
4 All Revved Up
5 Deadringer For Love
6 Midnight At The Lost And Found
7 Paradise By The Dashboard Light
8 Introductions/Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad
9 Promised Land
10 Gimme Shelter
Sadly I wasn't there, I just got the info from www.glasgowapollo.com
