Rock And Roll Dreams live with the saxophone really is awesome. If only it had the whole of the second verse it would be even better. Does anyone know why Meat decided to drop the 'Once upon a time was a backbeat' part after the Bat 2 tour ended?

The CD isn't being pulled.

It's just they removed the track listing from their sales site.

I'll keep you updated.

I think they've messed up with this, not even the hardcore fans are interested.

It would certainly be nice if they'd put out something we don't already have. Even a special edition of Bat 3 would be better. Maybe they could actually give it a decent push a second time around.

Mabey with the magic of sound mixing the problems in that song are fixed thanks to the record company

Dunno mabey for the same reason he pulled the second verse of Took the Words and AFL after the Bat II Tour

Maybe they are reconsidering the tracklisting? Maybe they have been on this site and saw this thread? Its possible... But at least they haven't dropped it.

Or maybe the magic of replacing it with a version from another show would sort it

They could mess around and 'fix' it all they want but the vocals etc will still be the same

reason for releasing it: to get out of the contract the record company has with Meat?

That was a mistake on the editors behalf (like on the melburne commentary it cuts off right after OOTFP) and was possibly meant to be corrected. They arn't gonna recall all DVDs for that. Plus with the CD they have a second chance. The could have tried also to extinguish the weird hissing sound in 3 Bats' Frying pan during the "Wonder down the ancient hallway" verse, but Frying Pan didn't make the cut i don't think......

Way too many people approve the cuts before they are sent for release for this to happen, it is not just the editor that checks and approves

Thats alot more likely....Chris, at least half a dozen people scrutinize this before it gets released so there is very little chance something so glaringly obvious would be overlooked, its not your home made stuff that cost pennies so you dont expect much, too much money goes into that for them to be so laid back about it.

Mike you could be right, maybe Meat doesn't feel like he has many more albums left in him so this may be one way out of it, unless his contract specifies new material which is pretty unlikely i guess, we seem forget sometimes that Meat is a grand old age and realistically not far from the end of his music career.

Look what I have found on Amazon, releasing on April 1st

First it is a audio cd in the search.
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw...s+live&x=0&y=0

Here it is the link:
http://www.amazon.com/3-Bats-Live-Me...4539242&sr=8-4
But the tracklist is identically to the DVD.....
