As for the DVD, I still don't have a copy (long story), but I'm told that something is being done about that. And although it would be quite easy to rip the soundtrack, I would still need a copy of the CD to keep my collection complete.
Still, I find the tracklisting unimaginative: another version of Paradise, Anything for Love, Rock and Roll Dreams and Bat. While I get that some songs just 'have' to be there, I'd rather have Objects.

I'll save my money...and stick with the dvd...as I say I have a hard time watching the dvd cause of what's happened subsequently, but hey that's just me.

Whoever made that track selection should be shot!

I would have gone for:
Paradise
You Took The Words
Anything For Love
Objects (with the end chopped down a bit)
Rock And Roll Dreams
The Monster Is Loose
If It Ain't Broke
Blind As A Bat
It's All Coming Back
Bat Out Of Hell

The audio of Bad For Good is terrible!

You Took The Words and All Revved Up are better on the CD.

I just wish they'd managed to dig up a recording of Land Of The Pigs from one of the other live shows.

Might have been better as 2 Bats as all of the Bat 1 tracks have been released loads of times, when theres only 1 official release with objects & frying pan on, and obviously no other CDs with Bat 3s.

Still buy it though, despite only just ripping all my faves off the DVD and editing them etc

i guess its less a question of "digging them up" than probably some legal issue with the rights to the soundboard recordings. after all theyre still recording every single show, arent they?

My thoughts exactly when reading all this. For me that was THE magical show to remember for various reasons and sadly there is no professional release of that, just stuff from what I think was a mediocre show in some random place in Canada.

I still think: Meat Loaf Live at The Royal Albert Hall sounds a lot more intriguing than Meat Loaf Live from London, Ontario, Canada. I mean ?!

I bet the soundboards from RAH exist. It wouldn't be that difficult to release a CD.

eah that would be good idea. I mean I know soundboards can be dodgy sometimes but it would still do a good cd - mermorable concert.

werent there problems with the audio system at rah? not saying thats the reason nothings been released, but maybe thats another problem for producing a cd.

you pretty much summed it up there.
Both wembley shows ive seen have been better than 3 bats live, then again, munich a month later wasnt as good as 3 bats, and dortmund in oct didnt even get close to the dvd from ontario.
I guess it's gambling if you pick a good show or not (to record and to attend)

I once heard that the rah show was filmed for the crew - could they not use the sudio from that?

I think the sound problems at the RAH were more to do with the acoustics of the building than anything else.

well from where I was at the show, left hand side of meat in the seats, we had a speaker right behind us and we could hear fine apart from becoming a little deaf at the end of the show. It would of been great to hear it on a cd, pro release...

I will still buy the new cd, come on its got the live songs on and its another piece to add to the collection..

Kinda interesting, or maybe not... Since all our moaning about the tracklisting, Mercury have removed the listing...
