was surfs up ever released as a single?? was it ever performed live?? if not, why was a video shot??? and if not.. it should be released!!!

it was on a PROMO released to promote BA in 1984

It's only a video because i believe it was used to serve as an example to the record company to allow it to be released. If thats the case they picked the best choice possible to persuade them.

OH and yes it was preformed live once. I think on a Porno back-tape.

I remember seeing it on ebay. Lost the auction though

It was released in the US/Canada only as far as I know, with Jumpin' The Gun as a B side - I have a copy released in 1984 on the RCA label. It certainly wasn't released as a single in the UK

Well...if indeed it was performed live on the first night of the Storytellers tour, I'd place a safe bet that someone somewhere has it recorded. I know some members on this site went to most of the Storytellers shows.
