yo people
rumour has it that "Stoney & Meat Loaf" only sold 500 copies as its original issue. but later sold 1000 as "Meat Loaf :Featuring Stoney". In my years of Meatloaf collecting (everything I see with his name on it), I have come across 2 different 78/79 re-issues of "Meat Loaf & Stoney" on LP , and the original LP which I bought. However , I lost the chance of a lifetime down in Canada. I was at a flea market , and I came across a copy of "Meatloaf featuring Stoney" on cassette . This was before I had any idea about Stoney & Meatloaf , so I asked the seller if it was the same Meat Loaf as "Bat Out Of Hell" , and he replied "No , this is just a gospel singer who goes by the name Meat Loaf". I never gave it much thought , but when I went to another record shop back home , the boss told me it was the same Meatloaf only singing a weird genre of music way before Bat Out Of Hell. So I started collecting "Stoney And Meatloaf". |
