Thumbs down Two Out Of Three - Killed... EEEEEEEWWWWW

You thought Bonnie Tylers version was bad.

Just on Napster and found Marie Mazziotti's 2000 album 'This Time From The Heart' and she covers (and Kills) the song...

It's ****ing shit!

My God, yes I did, and I was so surprised! Her version of Making Love is great, and she has done loads of great Steintracks.

Her version of 2 out of 3 ain't bad, it's f-ing awful (see what I did there? ). IT IS NOT A DISCO SONG!

If there is a worse version out there, I do not want to hear it !

I heard a country version with male vocals the other day. I suppose its only a matter of taste, but I didn't care for it. The accoustic guitar was nice though.

Bonnie's version sucks.

The country version RSG heard is probably Julian Austin, although Nitty Gritty Dirt Band did a cover back in '84. I think some of the songs could work quite well country-fied. Bat Out Of Nashville would have been errrr interesting to say the least.

Thanks for the leads on other artists - I am getting hold of those tracks. Bat Out Of Nashville would be hilarious (either because it is so good, or so bad!)

I still stand by the fact that Bonnie Tyler's Two Out Of Three is quite good for what it is.

Well, actually it is surprisingly catchy - I think it probably falls into the category of "so bad its good"!

Not at all...I have to disagree with you on that...

Bonnie's 2OO3 is a very good song in the "dance/techno" genre of music.

Well Steinman said he wrote 2 outta 3 with a country theme in mind. I can imagine it as a country song, I think itīd sound quite good.

Jim has also said that the lyrics to Two Out Of Three are his twist on the Elvis song I Want You, I Need You, I Love You. It's another terrific example of just how amazing Jim is with everyday cliches.

Jim did play and sing a country version of part of Two Out Of Three. I think from memory it's on the Classic Albums dvd.

I actually quite like Julian Austin's version. It works very well as a country song. Bring on Bat Out Of Nashville.

The story behind Bonnie's version is this:

She and Jim were discussing Nikki French's version of 'Total Eclipse', and so they decided to make 'Two Out Of Three' into a disco song before someone else did. In other words, Jim decided that if anyone should mangle one of his songs, it should be him.

Actually, I quite like it. (gets ready for the attack!)

I mean, it should end after about 5 minutes, not go on to nearly 9, but it's not horrible...
