That's right Meat, show em what you got! We're all supporting you and counting on nothing less than an awesome performance tomorrow night! I even have a friend who is going to buy Bat Out Of Hell 3 because of your new style in Monster! You are my favorite musician, and have always been! Get out there, and promote that album too, it will be a huge success! Your performances are just so magical!

Sincerely,
Your Biggest Fan - Jack Torrence

OKay, I must admit, it was pretty short, but for what was there, it was awesome! Meat performed perfectly, and they sang well together. Very exciting, but it only lasted about three minutes. The host mentioned his previous albums, and announced Bat 3 as being "bigger than the legend himself!"

I cant wait to hear Meat on AI tomorrow

Really looking forward to it!! Reviews on here and .net are great!!

The only thing is that really pisses me off is when he gets slated by smal minded pr**ks from the Press. I mean just reading some of them on the Net, I am a huge ML fan and this just really gets on my t*ts!!!

In my very honest opinion, it wasn't a great performance, but not because of Meat. It was more to do with the poor song choice and the total lack of chemistry between Meat and Katherine. I was enjoying it by the end because it took a while for it to get going. For the first part I was kind of cringing because Meat was seriously off key, but he soon got his act together. Meat was at least looking great with his cool goatee! He looked much healthier for some reason and seems pumped up for all the Bat III promotion.

To be perfectly frank I'd just prefer Patti to do IACBTMN, with maybe Meat adding some extra vocals, as I did like the male/female chorus.

I'm late on throwing in my two cents but figured what the heck (after reading all the various Idol posts here), why not....I THINK (therefore its just an opinion and could be wrong!) that Meat was wanting his and Katherine's performance to come off as something to the effect of two old lovers running into each other after some time apart. At first, feeling ackward (thus keeping on opposite sides of the stage with distance between them), but then once the memories of the old relationship come flooding back, they join together in the middle of the stage, falling into that 'familiar old feeling' once again, but then 'coming to' and realizing they are no longer a couple, thus going slightly distant again, although right at the end, lingering closer but yet not as close together as they were at first.

But the problem is, Katherine didnt seem to have that ability to relay that 'longing look' while they were far apart from each other, and looked more like a deer caught in headlights and seemed to be wanting to reach her center stage mark sooner then later. Her voice sounded great though, she just didn't have that same ability that we're used to with Patti to relay the emotions and depth of a song with more then just her voice. Meat, I agree, didn't start the song out so well, but be it a sound problem or whatever, that did definitely seem to remedy itself when Katherine came out. Maybe he found the key he needed once her singing started, since his ear piece probably wasn't helping him to do that. But having been onstage in front of just a few hundred people myself, let alone thousands, I know how stressful it can be and I commend anyone who can do it, and with only one rehearsal under their belts at that. So my hat's off to him. And the goal was achieved with this - pre-promotion for the upcoming album and possibly new fans! Cool! :)

Well you can't really blame Katherine- it's obvious Meat knows what he's doing, he's been performing for literally decades and Katherine has only had a few months on stage, there's not a shot in hell she cud keep up with Meat (no pun intended).
