Default All Coming Back - Steinmanesque?

Here is a little story I wish to share with you - it happened a while ago, and irked my little pedantic self.

All Coming Back To Me was on the radio, it was a local station, so to be honest it isn't very good. At the end the DJ said - I always think that song sounds very Steinmanesque. WHAT?

So does he just crap at his job and has never bothered to find out that Steinman actually wrote it, or was he using the ESQUE thing in the wrong context?

It's a bit like saying She Loves You is very Beatlesesque - yeh DUH.

Sorry rant over.

I actually tried to call them to ask them do you actually know Steinman wrote it, you IDIOT.

Really sorry - rant over this time I mean it.

GRRRR

It think that Means the Song got this typical Steinman sound. A song with the pathos and etc. Steinman did also songs which are different to his typical work.

sadly there are many people who don´t know the basics of rock and pop in this business...
I hear such things a lot, and there are things to hear they are very much worse...

But surely as a DJ it is his job to know a thing or two about these things? Besides wouldn't that information be quite readily available for a DJ?

not if the songs are computerized.
And I don't know everything either.
That's why we are people and no robots

A good DJ knows the facts of the music he´s playing.
But sadly they´re getting more and more rare...

IMO, he IS an idiot. It has nothing to do with being a fan or not. Anyone making a career in radio should "do their homework". There is no excuse for sloppiness and laziness.

I agree, You should know your stuff especially if you are going to address the public on a topic.
There is a radio station here that plays a lot of Meat's songs and one day the DJ was playing something he obviously didn't favour too much and his quip was " I wonder what Jim Steinman's doing these days?" and threw on Took the words right out of my mouth...... Man!..did I laugh.

And that is all that it is a vicious rumour, unsubstantiated and more than likely untrue ...
