Would it not be a great idea and a fitting to tribute to Meat for his very last album and final Bat, if Sony would give him a single album deal for Bat 3. This will bring it back to the very start, the very label who Meat found fame with, I know it wasn't actually Sony at the time but Epic (Cleveland), but I think this would be a good idea. I know for Bat 2, Sony wasn't interested and it was Virgin who signed Meat up, but they must now realise the potential the album will have after the success of Bat 2, of course this is my opinion.....

Personally I'd rather see him back with Virgin. The foresight and faith they had in Bat II and the marketing job they did was second to none. I think it might also save Meat a fight for the royalties he would be due!

I prefer another label than Sony... just renember how many different verions of Bat 1 we had... Sony just wants to make money with the same record...

I do agree Virgin was a good label for Meat, but this was in the days of Richard Branson Virgin, before he sold it off, they seem to be choosy now and go for all this new tripe stuff, but my picking of Sony, was for Meat to finish, where he very first started.

Virgin has been sold like you say, but there is a new Richard Branson music label called V2 - I think the Stereophonics are on it. Maybe he could try this. Or maybe he could set up his own label?
The marketing of Bat 2 was outstanding. Let's hope a similar amount of effort goes into Bat 3. |
