Well, didn't found a topic yet, but i do think that a public place like a forum, at least could spend some time/space on this topic.

I know we can't do anything, accept giving money and pray to god that something like this won't happen again.

So... here my attantion to this. Something that is to horrible for words.

The Butcher.

(ps... sorry that i just can't express myself in a proper way in english, but i hope you understand what i try to say)

You expressed it perfectly Tim .... I understand completely and know exactly how you feel. It's just so terrible My heart really goes out to all of the victims and their families.

I think this has touched everyone - I know that people have friends - family - loved ones out there. A work collegues husband should have been out there on a diving trip - but did not go due to family commitments. We found out today that the whole diving boat & divers/crew have been lost.

I am not religious - but will say a prayer to everyone affected by this tragady

Gerry... hope you hear from your mate very soon.... It's horrible with over 80,000 dead and still many missing.
It's unbelievable.... but one died in the coastal region of my country(Kenya) too... and that about 8000kms away from the original scene of the quake. I hear the ocean's changed in colour, and lots of dead fish to be seen on the beaches.
All we can do is pray and hope there are very few casualties now.

I'm afraid of crumbling of the unique untouched culture on Andaman Islands. There never have been whiteman, scientist, antropologyst... nobody... I think this untouched civilization is dead...

I don't think we'll ever be able to put into words how we really feel about what has happened. But we'll all do the best we can to help those affected finally return to some kind of normality.

Glad that this topic is sticky!!!

Also very happy to hear that only here in HOlland over 10 milion Euro's were collected.
Think we, the rich country's must do all the things to help those poor people.

And no.. .not talking about the tourists, just the local people there.

'He's back' . At least there is some small miracles happening.

He was in Phi Phi the day before and my other mriend was on Thailand beach and hour before it struck. Both know how lucky they were

A wee prayer for all

Gerry, that is fantastic news.

My heart goes out to all the people affected and their families.
Wish there was something we could do besides donating money.
