16. Razor's Edge
This is the START OUT OF HELL & ARRIVE TO HEAVEN topic. Let's Go to Rock 'n' Roll!!!!!!!
Razor's Edge (9) Oh, yes! A very good alternative Meat song. It is one of the best not-steinman song what Meat has been singing. The music is simple but excellent. It's a vision... a vision of something. I don't understand every part of it, but it gives me a vision. What does the full song mean? Help me! My score: 9 Average: 6.81 (88.5/13) |

I think it's about being a star, that people want everything and know everything about you, and the pressure.
And very funny that you like this song. I think it's a very bad song. Don't know what it is, but is misses the Meat Loaf glory that other songs have. But that's my opinion. Sorry White of Height. It will give it a 5. |

I think one of the best songs of the album midnight. But I think (and Meat also) it isn't his best album.
The music is good, very strange but simple lyrics. Score: 6,5 |

Man I love this song.
This is definatly the best song on the album. Correct me if i'm wrong, but this is a song about Meat Loaf's nervous breakdown. The music, the lyrics and the video are fantastic. Probibly the best non Jim Steinman song. 10/10 Razor sharp. P.S. Hey i've just made Senior Loafer.Beer me . |

When I listen this song again and again I find here is the best Meat's voice out. Stand By Me & Razor's Edge are the best voice what I have heard. Sometimes I hear such a humming what is impossible from a man. And it's true! Great!

I don't like any songs on the MATLAF album, so the same goes for this one.

This track isn't great, but isn't awful, either, Meat's voice makes a mediocre track something more, so with the great vocal...
My Score: 7.5 |

I think the Razor's Edge is a game. It's a game of life or death. Some examples are in the lyrics, I am 95% that what it is about. Really listen to the lyrics, you'll know what I mean.

Not the best, but the voice is GREAT...and it fits into the 80's era very nicely, not timeless like Bat1 or Bat2, but excellent for it's time...
I give it a 7/10 and yeah, I like the video too, very 80's and Meat looks quite good... |

The lyrics just didn't quite work for me here but I can't put my finger on it. Same for the tune. I consider this one weak. 5/10

I think it's about living on edge...but yes...there is a hint of possibility of nervous breakdown too...
