I'd call fake on that one too, looks nowhere near any of the genuine ones from Meat I've seen over the years.

I'd say the same on first glance (comparing it to the few I have), but just how old is this signature supposed to be?

As noted above, signatures can change over the years, but usually the basic format of the letters remains fairly constant. I know mine has changed a bit over the last few years (tough getting old!), but spacing, directional lean, and pen-pressure is the same as always.

What makes me laugh about autographs is when people supply a certificate of authenticity.

Basically the person that sells it, prints out a piece of paper saying it is genuine - they are hardly going to say it is fake is it!

People still insist it is better to by an autograph with a coa, but really it makes no difference.

It doesn't look like any of the genuine autographs I've seen of Meat's. There are many fakes on eBay even though the sellers claim they are the real deal. You should also watch out for pre-prints being sold as "hand signed".

That looks nothing like the autograph that I have either - or the other autographs that I have seen in the past.

I've got (and seen) autographs from Meat from over the last twenty years, and his signature hasn't changed a great deal in that time, if at all.

Yeah I saw that the other day, it makes me laugh that the sellers think that the Meat Loaf fans that are going to be bidding on their things can't tell a genuine autograph!
