Default Live DVD

Hi all,

Please excuse my ignorance if this has already been asked or if it is common knowledge, but does anybody know when the Live DVD is being released. I'm dying to get my hands on it.

Thanks

As far as i know there has been no release date given yet!!! but it really does seem like nothing is going to happen about it! At one point there woz all this hype about Live recordings of each UK concert, The live CD with the Symphony ochastra and the DVD! But so far there has been no mention of any of these! Wot a waste, Meat is amazing live and he really should release more live stuff! There woz a rumore that the DVD woz ment to be released in August, September........?? but i cant see it, theres been no mention for months! I just wish the man himself would come on and tell every1 bout the live stuff and Bat III................???? The story goes on and on...!

Meat posted on his new official site that they are working on it :) As far as the release date goes, the last I heard was October.

It does not appear to me that they are going to follow through with the promise of board tapes that was given to the fans right here on this board.

Default The Live DVD with the MSO is on its way

Meat Loaf's Feb 20 and 22 performances in Melbourne are the basis for the upcoming live CD "Bat Out of Hell Live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra" and the DVD "Live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra." Both items will be released Sept. 14 via Sanctuary.

The CD comprises a complete performance of Loaf's 1977 breakthrough "Bat Out of Hell," including the title cut, "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad" and "Paradise by the Dashboard Light." The DVD features some of the same cuts, as well as "I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)" and "Out of the Frying Pan (And Into the Fire)."

DVD bonus features include a Q&A with the artist, a commentary track, a photo gallery and a backstage featurette.

Thanks Sherrie,

It can be ordered at Amazon.com

Apparently it's only available to Region 1 countries (USA & Canada) which suites me cos I'm multi-zoned

Yeah, I was wondering that as well and I can't remember the last time Meat Loaf ever sung For Crying Out Loud either. Maybe they recorded him singing in the shower or something.

But I haven't a code-free player. Do we (in Europe) have to wait 5 years before there will be a Europe-release (with vh1 it was so!)?

I don't think so, Macrapper. I bought a region-free dvd-player when I wanted to see the Storytellers dvd. They are being sold, at least in Holland, at a very reasonable (which in my case means Low!) price.
I do however, hope the dvd will also be released in the European-format aswell.

So does this mean that it's not going to be relesed in the UK???
I mean why cant they just release it here at the same time as the US!

I dont want to have 2 wait years like we all had to do wen Storytellers came out!!

Just because there's been no release date set as yet doens't mean the DVD and CD won't be available in the Uk at around the same time, and remember we in the Uk have fared better for meaty releases over the years than our transatlantic cousins - we got Bad Attitude before them, and the Bad Attitude Live Video and Blind Before I Stop and CHSIB and Meat Loaf Live
