Hi Airhead. This sounds like the 12" blood red vinyl released in February 1979 and limited to 10,000 copies. A very nice collector's item!

Top right hand corner of the sleeve says "Limited Collectors Edition 12" Single In Blood Red Vinyl" Chris.

The ad for the single which appeared in the music press at the time said: "Limited Edition Only 10,000. In Delicious Blood Red Vinyl. Come And Get Your Slice Of Meat Loaf Before It's Too Late!"
