Seems "CHSIB" was only released on vinyl in Germany Gerry and in very limited quantities. Even Meat didn't know it was released on vinyl until I asked him to autograph my copy before the promo concert in Amsterdam. He was very excited about that and during the concert held up the sleeve of the copy he was given to promote the album! It's a wonderful rarity for any Meaty collector.

As far as I'm aware it wasn't released as a picture vinyl.

When I was in Hamburg a couple of weeks ago (for seeing Tanz der Vampire with a Steingang), I saw it at at least two different stores. I don't think it was that limited or so, but then again, what do I know?

I have one now, so my LP collection is complete again (well, apart from TVBO, which is the only one not released on LP)

Thanks EN. Good to know Meat's fans still have the opportunity to get hold of this little gem! Are they still issuing it with the labels back to front - the a-side label on the b-side of the record and vica versa? Seems all of the original pressings were like that.

I wonder why TVBO was never released on vinyl? It's the only one missing from my Meaty LP collection too.

Labels still switched, indeed :)

And as for TVBO, I can only assume that it would be a cost-issue. LP's aren't that big a market nowadays, so the demand for it would be minimal. Then, because is a double album, it would at least have to be a 3-4 LPs - otherwise you'd have to compress the tracks too much, and thereby sacrificing the sound quality. Remember the Bat II LP? It sounds terrible, and the main reason is that you can't put over 70 minutes of music on 1 LP, and still expect it to sound good. There's room for 20 minutes per side, 25 maximal - so 35 minutes? Forget it.
So, minimal demand, higher production costs - I can somehow understand they didn't do it. Still a pitty, tho' :)

I just bought a copy of the German Amazon site, took me a while to do as I had to translate the writing on the site, but after the hard work I received my copy a few days later. I still think there were a few more copies available to purchase on there.

You hit the nail on the head EN.

Still TVBO would have made a lovely box set presentation!

I got one from a ZShop on the German Amazon site last summer :)
I've never played it ..... I would love to get Meat to autograph the sleeve before I frame it. Hopefully I'll have the chance if he does more shows in the U.S. later this fall :)
