Default Which CD did you buy today?

The idea is simple: just like in the "What are you listening?" thread, you can post which CD's you've bought (today). Any thoughts about it would be nice too :)

To get things started: "Look! I got a new CD!"

Well, in fact, I got 5. I bought a complete set of Arturo Toscanini conducting the NBC Symphony Orchestra on all of Ludwig Van Beethoven's 9 Symphonies.
The last few months, I'm really starting to appreciate classical music, and Beethoven in perticular. This set is widely seen as one of the better collections, and since it was just released in a "budget version", I decided that this was a nice way to get a load of good music.

Katie Melua, Call Of The Search.

A few words about it? Awesome! Superb music to chill out and relax to, her version of Lilac Wine is beautiful!! perhaps I could get it piped onto the forum?

Beautiful Sky, from a band called "Reamonn"
Does anyone outside Germany do know them?
If not, try to get one. It's a POP album, but in a positive way (like Kasim say of himself "intelligent pop")
I saw them on a life show in january and they rocked!

They had a small hit with "Supergirl" here some years back, which is a good song. Other than that, I haven't heard anything by them.
We had a sort of Idols thing, called Starmaker, where a band was 'manufactured'. One of the songs they did on their album was "Supergirl". In the wake of that, Reamonn released it as a single.

Not today, but recently.

Simple. Straight. Probably the best since Eliminator.

Yes, supergirl was there first hit here in Germany. Since then they had some more. But they still know, where they came from. At the show they behave like the nice guys next door. Some other of these "pop idols" should take that as an example

I've been waiting for a thread like this!
Two goodies today:

And as for Romeo Void, Never Say Never is simply one of the greatest singles to come out of the 80's. If only for the line "I might like you better if we slept together". Classic.

Katie Melua "Call off the search"
Joss Stone "The Soul Sessions"

on order/to be released:

Eric Clapton "Me and Mr. Johnson"
