Default OMG!!!! I DID IT!!!!!

Just wanted to share with you Guys and Guyesses,

after 3 and a half long years, god knows how much money, and 6 attempts, I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I know a lotta people say that driving teste are becoming way too easy nowadays, but i've worked damn hard for this, and am feeling rather proud of myself - especially after 5 failures which really knocked my confidence. I'm still in shock and expect someone to say that they got it wrong - but i did it!!!!

Now to get a car....

Congratulations Heat!!

Now you've got your licence this is where you really start learning.... beware of those Smart cars... the drivers are lethal maniacs!!

Seriously. Well done! Can you pick me up from the pub?

Way to go, Heat! I'm proud of you for sticking with it. It's an amazing feeling of independence to be able to get in the car and go where you want to when you want to.

My daughter will be 16 in May, so we're about to go down this road, too.

Whoever says that should be shot!

There is far more involved in the modern test than has been in the past - So I have been told by my driving instructor. For a start there are, in effect, three tests!

Anyway, congratulations Heat... I passed mine a few weeks ago and I know how great the feeling is when the examiner says "I'm pleased to say you've passed"

Heat well done lass knew you could
now all I need to know is when you're going to be on the road so i can garage mine just in case

But seriously i think you need to get straight behind the wheel to keep your confidence boosted in fact I think a nice little run up to London on sunday would do you the world of good

Congratulations Heat. You will have so much more freedom now. As Sin says, you could even go to London on Sunday but then I wouldn't be able to talk to you in the chatroom as everyone else seems to be going.

Well done Heat! You'll wonder in a few weeks time how you ever managed without a car!

I remember well the white knuckle rides I used to get with Mrs Badcrumble when she was learning to drive, and I sat with her. Used to wonder how my legs supported me when I got out the car each time! I also remember the relief when she passed!!!!!

Heat well done hun!!!!!!!!!

Very pleased for you.

I think the test is much harder now, when I passed mine in the dark ages there was no written test or hazard thingy, dont think I would pass now so you have done great.

Enjoy many happy years of safe driving mate, you deserve it.

Thanks everyone for all you messages - you guys are really stars!!!

I've booked a pass plus course with my driving instructor, and that involves motorway driving , hoping to do that the week after next

Not too sure about driving to London on Sunday though - i know i'm good, but even i can't be in two places at once

Besides, Black Dog and i have a date with R...

Watch out for the brake happy nutters on the road .... like the one who caused me to swerve at 60mph on the Edinburgh City bypass today because she braked for no reason .... stupid woman that she was.

Happy driving!!! and take care
