Default 1 of the....

Just must make a point now:

1 of the reasons that i'm not here on the forums lately is this one: you can't have a normal discussion!!

Everytime someone say something he gots spoiled with stupid remarks, cursings, threatnings and all kind of stuff.

Is that the way to discuss??? Is that the way you other people behave to another?? Is that they way why you can call yourself a grown-up???

A forum is a place where you can discuss things. It is about mathers and opinions. It is about nice talking to each other, to think a person is right or not.

In both ways (if a person is right or not) you are entitled to have an opinion about that. Only... the way you say it is different. I've seen that a lot of members are almost kicked of from the forum by other forum members, just cause they say something that the majoriy doesn't like. Is that honest?? is that nice???

I allways thought that people who liked music, specially Meat Loaf music where good people, but now days i see some things happen here that i can say that i feel ashamed that i know you.

Well... just maybe this forum is a mirror from the society that grows and gets more f****d up every day... i don't konw.

The Butcher.

I'm gonna send this over to Site Feedback.
I think that's a better place to discuss this

I agree with you Tim, I have not posted much recently. This was a great place and still is, but some things have been spoiled by slanging matches over petty and childish arguments. We are adults not children. Come on let's make this the best place to be on the net. Meat posted on here that he is upset. I can't blame him. If someone critisized me about the work I do, I would be upset too. Meat works his bo**o*ks off to give us a great show, and I know the majority here praise him, some pathetic individuals are posting nasty and cruel things. These people should be stopped and stopped now. Not telling the staff of MLUKFC how to do there job, you do it great already. I just think there should be a way to stop these people. Like Tim said, everyone is right to there opinion, but some things what are posted on here, is not right. Rock on Meat, the majority of us here love ya and always will.

You can have as much opinions as you want, Tim.
If I ask people to get a thread back on its original topic, I expect them to do exactly that.

You didn't - now the thread is locked. It's quite easy.

And, regarding your post - you can use the next week to chill out, as your account is suspended for one week.

Bye.

Yep the threads been locked - no doubt debate will continue.

I do have one question for Tim, (and you know i luv ya, outbursts and all )

Tim - Did you actually read the post made that has cause all this backlash?

I have just been and read it again and must say that to me the tone and descriptions are to say the least offensive.

An opinion is usually quailfied with I think, I believe, I thought, I felt etc.

This post contain comments like:-

Quote:
Then the worst thing that happened all night, happened. He started singing. Right from the first line I flinched at how badly out of tune and out of time he actually was.
Quote:
How can someone who has been in the music business for 26 years not know how to open a show?
Quote:
What followed was cringeworthingly bad. Meat - in a high school jacket - pretending to be drunk. Another SIX MINUTES of speaking (more like slurring) over the band, who themselves looked to be struggling to retain any interest in playing.
These are just a few and I don't think they are written in a manner that comes across as an opinion, more like a critical review as a fact.

A lot of forum members were at this concert and other people have come onto the boards to say what a great night it was. Our friends here have travelled to the concert and why should they see a post that is coming across as this is the way it was? When it is quiet obvious that others haven't felt this way.

The sign off it's self was
Quote:
Please bear in mind, this is my opinion of the show, and it is not intended to criticise anyone who did enjoy the show.
OK so it's not critising those who enjoyed the show - so what exactly was it trying to do?

Tim just my thoughts

Absolutely Sin .. and that kind of skewed, exaggerated, and pretty vitriolic kind of comment would be pretty hurtful to a performer who HAD delivered a bad performance, let alone Meat who has delivered a fine one as attested by the thiusands who stood and cheered at the end.

Nor are they excused by the addition of comments like .. no offence, or just my opinion. Some opinions are so far from reality they should be kept to oneself .. or buried at sea.

I don't think a forum which is part of a Meat Loaf fanclub website where Meat is made the butt of cruel and far from accurate and justified comments is fun at all .. just unnecessarily spiteful
