Default for everybody who thinks that....

there will be a happ new year... let me clear that dream for you: THERE WILL NOT, NEVER WILL AND NEVER COME A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

So... i had to say that.

I'm sick of people wishing everybody else a happy new year. The sh"t will go on people... nothing will change. Bills will come, bad weather also, war will continue, USA think they are superb, people will complain, people will continue with discriminate others, we will curse, run out of money and so on!!!

So... who has a concrete plate in front of his head: good luck!!

The Butcher.

As Trooper once said
from "We're Here For A Good Time"

"A very good friend of mine
Told me something the other day
I'd like to pass it in to you
Cause I believe what he said to be true
He said

We're here for a good time
Not a long time (not a long time)
So have a good time
The sun can't shine every day

And the sun is shinin'
In this rainy city
And the sun is shinin'
Oooooh, isn't it a pity
And every year, has it's share of tears
And every now and then it's gotta rain

We're here for a good time
Not a long time
So have a good time
The sun can't shine every day

And the sun is shinin'
In this rainy city
And the sun is shinin'
Oooooh, isn't it a pity
That every year, has it's share of tears
Every now and then it's gotta rain

We're here for a good time
Not a long time
So have a good time
The sun can't shine every day "

You are a little ray of sunshine Tim! Is there nothing that makes you happy? You don't like Christmas, you don't want to wish anybody a happy new year, for Gods sake lighten up man, you are a long time dead and even then you won't be smiling.

There you go Tim, there are still some of us with hope! Fallen Angel has obviously had a bit of a time of it and I can assure you this has not been my best year, in fact just before Christmas I had some really bad news regarding my daughters health, but you have to have hope. If you haven't got hope you have nothing. So I wish you a happy new year as well, that means that I wish you a new year that was better than the last. It doesn't mean that it will solve any world problems or local problems like bills dropping through the door, it just means that I wish you a better new year, now that didn't hurt did it. There are far more people around who are worse off than me and you and I expect they are wishing for a happier new year as well.

Not talking about hope. Just say things the way they are. That doesn't mean that i'm not happy or not cheered up at the moment. I am very happy. Just realistic. Offcourse, everyone can and may dream....

So why shatter dreams with reality? We know there are problems in the world, they will never go away. Just smile a while.

Of course the problems don't go away on the 1st January, my problems and my daughters problems are here for life, however long we may have. What comes over in your posts is that you are so negative, try saying the glass is half full instead of half empty. Try smiling for real instead of forcing it. Life is too damn short to be always so negative, look on the bright side, because there is good that comes out of every bad thing.

Problems won't go away on jan 1st.

BUT

It is a new year, maybe a new chance to look at solving some of our own problems?

Right folks, all together now for a rousing sing-song

Always look on the bright side of life

With New year and Christmas there is the expectation that you should be "happy" and "celebrate"and if you don't you are made to feel bad.
If you have many problems, and are someone who thinks deeply about things, you know nothing will change just because the date on the calendar changes...that is just being realistic, not "negative." We all deal with , and do things differently, some of us choose not to celebrate.

that does not mean you do not Hope things will improve, we all hope that,
the two are not connected.
......but in reality, as soon as one problem is solved there is another to take it's place...that's Life!

I agree with much of what you say Bren.

but what we can try to change is the way we deal with our problems.
Most of the problems that get me down are, in the long term not that important although they often seem extemely important at the time. I don't mean to trivialise everyones problems but.......not sure how to put how I feel into words.......there are so many good things in the world......would prefer to think of these and to believe that I have the power to change my personnal world....

I am still alive and I'll celebrate that.

You have really interesting views Tim, and realistic ones of that too. I respect how you feel, :) just so you know that. I did a quiz at school, and they divided our results into categories. One of the categories was how realistic I am. The bigger the bar beside the word, the better. I got a really tiny bar for realistic . You had to squint your eyes beside it. . hehe, oh well i guess. But I do have some knowledge of what's going on, and it should be stopped.

That's fair enough EM
Don't get me wrong i'm not pessimistic by nature, just realistic....i have good things in my life yes...and i always try to make the best of things,
But we all go through times when the problems outwiegh the good, when problems stack up they seem insurmountable.......

and your positive outlook is a goodthing

Well, glad that some people agree with me. And some people don't, but that is their opinion.

I totally agree with Bren here. The date on the calender changes. That is all. And indeed, when 1 problem is solved, another one comes.
