Default Man Of Steel Promotion - do your bit.

I think i must be close to securing close to 1000 sales of the single as I have been promoting the hell out of it on all the forums I post on and have sent somewhere in the region of 3000 emails to member of loads of different directories such as aol and yahoo, etc. and anyone profiles that list 'rock' or the obvious 'meat loaf' or 'meatloaf.'

Some 500 music fans on AOL alone have had me bugging them with the emails at the bottom and almost every one has replied saying they didn't even know there was a single and they are big fans, etc. and will be looking to buy it.

So hopefully if the record company stick loads in the shops then it could already have a good start...

this is my email i've been sending and posting all over the place ... feel free to copy it and do the same...

Yes associates, Meat Loaf, the most supreme recording artist of all time racking up almost to 65 MILLION sales world wide is releasing only his third single in 8 years and comes from his platinum UK selling album Couldn't Have Said It Better.

Man Of Steel will be released on November 24th to accompany his sold out UK and Ireland leg of his FINAL WORLD TOUR. Some 500,000 tickets have sold out for around 20 shows in 30 days covering November and December.

Man of Steel is a classic Meat Loaf soft love ballad and the most amazing vocal range in rock is in fine form with this amazingly beautiful song. The single hits the shops on Monday 24th November priced £1.99.

The single also coincides with Bat Out Of Hell enjoying its 1300th consecutive week (25 years) in the UK Rock Album charts. Meat’s latest album, Couldn’t Have Said It Better is still in the shops now priced £16.99

I batch-emailed everyone in my company today urging them to buy the new single.

The way I see it, I start a new job on December 1st so there's very ittle chance I'll get disciplined for non-work rlated spamming in my current job :)

You're doing a great job.

It's surprising that Man of Steel isn't being performed at any of the concerts (well so far anyway). I think that would help to promote it as a single.

I emailed to local radio stations up to now, Key 103 in Manchester and Tower FM in Bolton. Not heard anything back as yet.

Flyers for the new single were on a lot of the seats at the NEC Mon and Last night - no verbal mention & not played on the PA which was odd.

Default My city Saint John, and my Meat Loaf related CHSIB stories.

I was walking through my City Market (popular Canada landmark.) And I went into "Music World." And I asked the guy, if I could have his CHSIB poster in the window. He said, sure, he gave it to me for free. I said thank you and just as I was about to walk away, he gave me 3 more, . I just wanted to share. :) Another cool thing about this place, this is where I got the CHSIB CD on the exact day it came out in Canada (September 23rd). But most of all the coolest thing about this place is, the big enlarged Bat 2 wall on the back wall. It is like 25 feet X 12 feet. Instead of it saying Meat Loaf on the top middle, it says "Radio Land." (What the store used to be called.

What better way to get the new single played on radio stations than a concerted effort from MLUKFC through a ring-a-thon where MUKFC members ut aside half an hour at a weekend or something to cal as many radio stations as possible and lodge their request.

If enough of us do it, it an only be a good thing!

Default PROMO idea for MOS

OK all you lucky lucky people who made it on to the poster - here a payback chance.
How about approaching your local newspapers and radio stations from this angle?

"I'm a long the fan have have had my dreams come true etc etc........."
They might reproduce the poster with an article about the single or at the very least the single's gonna get a mention.

I've missed this weeks deadline for the local paper here, will see what I can do for next week but I'm gonna
get friends to phone the local radio and request MOS for me and say something like "congratulations for making the poster" and I'll also phone to do the same for my son.

just a thought

Just thought I'd let you know, I bought ten copies on Friday and handed them out to members of my team at work as a leaving present as Friday was my last day working for Friends Provident.

Interestingly, they all seemed thrilled to get it, despite me being unabe to convince them earlier to buy the single...

Closet Meat fans, obviously!

I did something along the same, thankfully I am in a position to wastes a good size of student loan on 50 singles and giving them away for free.

Well, the charts on, lets see how good all our hard work has done :)
