I would presume there's no Meet and Greet registration for that date because there's no meet and greet planned for that date.

Other than Belfast, it appears that Meat Loaf is just doing one Meet and Greet at each venue (except places like Cardiff and Brighton which aren't getting one at all).

No reason has been given and certainly in 1999, he did M&Gs before all the concerts. I was surprised that the places for the M&Gs didn't go quicker (I expected them to all be snapped up within an hour considering that there are only about 100 places and he sold 400,000 tickets but quite possibly it's because most fans aren't online or don't look at this board).

It's certainly unfortunate if you're going to another concert at the venue and there isn't a M&G for that date. Personally I wish he was doing M&Gs for ALL the concerts (I can't believe that meeting a few fans for 10 minutes or so takes all that much out of him when he's at the venue anyway for a few hours between the soundcheck and the concert and it means SO much to his fans).

Of course, if he did do M&Gs at all the concerts, then it would have the added bonus of Kasim opening at all the concerts too!!!

yes i am sure we would all love meat to do M & Gs at all the concerts
but as for you saying it wouldnt take much out of him well, how
many times in your life have you done a tour like meats, with all
the added complications that he has had?
it may not seem much trouble to you but for heavens sake cop on, would you, today for instance he has got up early for a flight for this set of dates,
he flew back from australia earlier this month to america, the poor
guy never stops!!
the only time he has to relax is just before the show, so the last thing
he needs is to be trying to please a lot of his fans just before he goes on
stage!
maybe he knows where he is planning on doing M&Gs on the flip tour?
and the places that he missed this time will be then, but seriously
he really cant be doing them every night, that would be asking to much.
but hey you cant please everyone, why dont you ask kasim to do
some on some nights? or wouldnt he agree?

I know exactly what you mean ..... they couldn't arrange any meet and greets before the shows during the first leg of the US tour. Yes --- I would have loved to have gotten the chance to talk to him --- but I still got
to see two amazing concerts, which is more than some people I know.

Hopefully he'll be able to do them when he comes back my way next year :) Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens !!

Yes, I have to agree with both of you!! It was very disappointing not to get to meet Meat while he was over here this summer.

But I, too, was fortunate to see four amazing performances and I live in hope that he'll be coming back this way next year to make up for some of the four in California he had to cancel due to illness.

Perhaps, in the final leg of the tour, he will be able to set aside some Meet and Greet time for all of us in the States who helped with the CHSIB UK promotion!!

Love to all,
MB

i can understand how disapointting it is for the fans in the the places
where he didnt do the meet and greets but when he first started
the tour he had just had surgery and a lot of us didnt think he would manage to do the tour let alone meet and greets.
when i said maybe he will do them on the flip tour, i was referring
as well, to the fans who put in all the work for him.
maybe he is planning on something special, i should think he is
as i cant imagine meat letting his fans down, especially when
they are ones who have worked so hard for him, surely ...
i myself was happy also to be just going to the concert i didnt think
for one minute one of the meet and greets would be at our
concert, but it is, i am not going to meet him, i have put my childrens
names down, pixiedust and her brother as i dont want to take up all
the places, and i am very fortunate to have been given the chance,
i dont know if they will be choosen or not but they have got the
chance and i hope every one here will get the chance maybe on
the return tour.
but for him to do do them at every venue he is playing at that i think
wpuld be asking to much of him, i dont think it would be humanely
possible!

Well, it was humanely possible for him to do exactly that in 1999 and he had surgery during that tour too.

Unless a Meet and Greet has drastically changed, he only stands around chatting to 10-15 fans for about 10 minutes or less (after he's signed a few things)...it's hardly too physically exerting considering he has several hours to kill between the soundcheck and the concert.

The point is that it means SO MUCH to those lucky people who get to meet him...for Meat Loaf it's a few extra minutes work, but for some of the fans it literally is a highlight of their entire lives.

I really feel sorry for the person who posted earlier that he or she is going to 5 concerts and yet none of them are having M&Gs. In addition, Meat Loaf did promise people M&Gs if they bought additional copies of the single (as someone has posted earlier), while I'm sure that lots of fans did it willingly, a deal is a deal in my book.

well sue w, i cant speak for how meat feels but we were
all four years younger then, and some times four years is a long
time
also like i said maybe he is planning to do something special
for those fans that helped him, and also to buy the records back,
i wasnt around the forum when this was put in to action so
i have no idea what it all was about but, i am not meat so like
you and all the other fans i cant second guess him but i should
not imagine that he is going to go back on a bargain, we will just have to
wait and see.

Wouldn't it be great if, when the tour was over Meat did one final special concert for fan club members only and the people who couldn't make the M&Gs are allowed a special M&G at that venue.
I know that Meat is doing a BIGGGGGG Tour and he's bound to be worn out at the end of it but this would make a great end of tour party for both Meat and the fans and a great way to say goodbye to his more hardcore fans.

Well Renegate Angel I think you should move your couch and t.v. out the living room. Dim the lights and invite Meat to party at your house, with all members invited.
I'm sure that would be night to remember for all us diehards....and your carpet

Well if Meat agrees to playing at my house then you are all more than welcome, although I don't think that Bob The Bat will fit in the room but the kitchen may be big enough!!!

Seriously though, I would love to see this happen, especially if it was in a small intimate venue.

Hey Renegade i think it would be great to have a concert for all the fan club members. I t wouldn't need to be too big would it? and to have M&G's there for us all would be great, might take awhile but hey who cares?

I bought 15 copies of the CD single on-line because Meat needed my help ... and I would do it again if he asked me to.

And I can understand, given his very hectic schedule and health problems, why he couldn't offer M&Gs for the first leg of the tour in the United States. However, now that he's offered M&Gs before some of the shows in Europe, I think he should offer them before the shows when he comes back to the United States, and I admit I will be very disappointed if he doesn't.

I don't want to appear jealous or envious of anyone who has gotten to talk to him in Europe ... far from it. I'm very happy for everyone. But people like myself, Sherrie, and MB (to name a few) who have been
very supportive deserve that same chance.

Yes you do Vicki. And just to point out something Bigmomma said about being 4 years older and stuff. I really don't think being 4 years older has anything to do with Meat not being able to stand and talk to fans for 10 minutes. Not at all.

exactly vickip, this is what i was saying before that those who fans
who had missed out the first time round in america, are whereever
when meat first started the tour will probably get them on the return
and i should hope that the ones like yourselves will be top of the list,
i dont know, but i would of thought so, i cant see meat letting you
down, and every body does deserve a chance but those like your
selves who put in all the hard work deserve it more than most.
winston just for the record i was trying to make a joke there,
it obviously backfired...

Right you are, Vicki!

Hope it will happen! Know you didn't help to get a M&G, that's quite clear.
But I think you (and some other very supportive US-fans) deserve the same change!...As well as some UK fans...

Please be happy for me...going to Trier tomorrow!
