Default RIP Concert One

I can officially confirm ConcertOne has indeed shuttered. I asked around to a few connections, its gone. Closed Christmas 2012.

I guess the guy who did the concert editing also did all the financial stuff for the comagny. And the person responsible for video transfer probably was the CEO.

In short, those were a bunch of worthless ass-wipes that knew nothing of making concert videos.

After seeing Penguin, I think team Meat should provide Wario with the raw footage and let him edit a good concert out of it

It is nice to have anything at all more than nothing, but we still don't IMO have a definitive Meat Loaf live DVD. I wish the VH1 shows from the 90's could be digitally remastered and released for sale. History of 1 & 2 plus Neighborhood. IMO that would be epic.

The Hard Rock live would also be a good choice especially if additional songs were filmed but not aired.

MSO should be re-released on Blu Ray with much better picture quality and less harsh compression. Whether it was recorded in HD I don't know but I think a Blu Ray would at least give us ultimate sound. Listening to the likes of Alchemy 1983 from Dire Straits (which has terrible picture quality) really confirms this.

If anything it would be great to see the actual full version of either of those two MSO shows or a combination to create a more proper length one as it was either of those nights.

Also I'm sure there is good stuff from the 90s that could be released but none of it is probably in HD.

Even a DVD re-release with a better mix would help.

I absolutely agree - better picture quality even if it is only a well done upscaling, plus better sound. I got Roy Orbison's Black and White Night show on Blu Ray and it is a SUPERB upgrade over the DVD. Crisp picture and truly outstanding sound.

I would love a HC Tour HD tour video. Meat sang so well on many of those shows, and judging by some of the bootlegs, like the Gibson Ampitheatre in 2010, and with some dubbing treatment to punch the power through, it would be better or ON PAR with MSO.

Meh, I thought Meat's singing on most of the HC Tour shows was far better than the Guilty Pleasures DVD......Meat's voice has having issues that Fall...But yeah LAB would be great, but I love Meat's higher register, and the HC Tour it was stronger than it's been since RAH IMO.

Yes, I thought the Guilty Pleasures DVD sounded heavily processed or something. Meat's voice did not sound like normal at all to me.

Yeah, my thoughts as well. Parts of some of the live youtube stuff sounded way better. https://youtu.be/-reHC14UaSY?t=5m45s I didn't hear that kind of consistent power in any of the guilty pleasure songs...He was tired, sick, and stressed out from that damn Australia business....bad time to record a dvd imo but Im glad he went through with it and didnt' let them detract any more from him. Shows the strength and tenacity of Meat.

I think anything not specially filmed for DVD release or was shown on TV is going to have some kind of rights issue that probably would be more complicated to work out than it was worth. Old contracts would probably be involved as well.
