Bot MATL&F and BBIS are not my favorites, and for two different reasons.
Midnight took of in very different direction that its predecesors (Bat and DR), it's not quite as theatrical as the former, and imo, it lacks something. I think they wanted to stay away from the trademark 'Steinman sound' on that album, and by doing that, they departed from what is, imo, Meat's strong point: theatrical rock wioth a good story. Blind's main fault is the, again imo, poor songwriting, and the addition of some 'dance beats' (where Meat didn't know of until the LP was pressed). On that album there are a couple 'ok' songs, but nothing really special. But if you asked me that on the Steinman board, I would have said mostly the same :) NP: Jon Bon Jovi - Destination Anywhere - 07 - It's Just Me [06:43] |

I don't like these albums. On MATLAF I like only Razor's Edge and sometimes Fallen Angel. They are a little bit theatrical. On BBIS I like only Standing On The Outside and Execution Day. They are Meat Loaf, more songs aren't...

MATLAf is the worst album i have ever heard. I have it on lp but not on cd and i will never listen to it anymore.
BBIS is an album i like. The sound is different and yes there is some discobeat, but the vocals are extraordinary. The songs are great. To me it is a special album cause i listen to it when i was a teenager. |

While these are not my FAVORITE Meat Loaf albums, they're still better than most of the stuff out there. Also, it's kinda neat to hear Meat to the kitchy 80's styles.

Hey! Don't ask for other peoples opinions, make your own! I swear this is the reason as to why there is a lot of rubbish in the charts:
Lots of advertising on kids tv shows and adverts in between. Kid thinks it must be good. Mum is forced to buy it. Kid listens to song. Kid talks to friend about song. Kids friend thinks its good too, cos the other person said so. Other kids gets parents to buy it or buy it themselves using pocket money. A year later, song is forgotten. My sister suffered from the same thing. She liked all the boybands etc. Now she's thrown them all out. |

I think that it are both great albums. Some beautifull songs on it. It isn't the meat loaf like on Bat or Bat 2, but still these are great albums. MATLAF is the album that is not so good. But the songs like Razors Edge and MATLAF are reallly good. BBIS is better.
There are also some remixes from those albums, and those are also very good!! MATLAF = 6.7/10 BBIS = 8/10 |

Midnight At The Lost And Found is perhaps my least favourite Meat album, but I would rather listen to it than a lot of other stuff that is out there (by other artists). The tracks you've already heard are in my opinion, the better ones on that album. Meat is a co-writer of many of the tracks.
The best track, in my opinion, is actually a b-side of If You Really Want To, Lost Love, which is not on the album, which can be found on some versions of Hits Out Of Hell. |
