Looks cold, I'm watching the Windies warm up in jumpers and jackets.

Cricket fans, thoughts? I put my money on you good English.

But literally, I have $5 Matt Prior for highest 1st innings score $ $5 on West Indies (just because the odds are not too bad)... Oh and Windies for highest opening partnership ..... All for the odds. I still expect England to win

The fact that they are even starting on time is a miracle considering the weather we've had recently. Having said that, the drainage at Lords is incredible. I remember sitting at the famous old ground once where it had rained heavily throughout the morning and afternoon, eventually ceasing at approx 3pm. Within an hour they were on the pitch and a further 60 mins later Glenn McGrath had polished off the England innings!
As regards yor bets - the odds should have rung alarm bells!
"Straussy" is struggling for form so your opening partnership bet looks promising and as I am writing this they are still there.
I don't believe Matt Prior will be top scorer. Young Jonny Bairstow is making his debut and not only is he a first class batsmen he also keeps wicket for Yorkshire.

WICKET !!!!! 13-1

Prior's days are numbered and he knows it!
Jonny Bairstow will be top scorer. I am showing bias here as he is the son of the late great David Bairstow who was my cricket idol.

This game will be completed within 4 days, England by an innings and 70 runs with Bairstow whacking a double ton on debut at Lords.

Ha ha you may well be right there! Power to the mighty Yorkshire! It's ok, the bets weren't high, so if they don't pay off I won't have lost much
