Default Report from..."the road outside of nowhere

in the middle of the night"

Well, actually from Seymour WI, Meat's second American concert of the tour. Here's the setlist-

Love and Death and An American Guitar
Do It
Life is a Lemon
Tear Me Down
All Revved Up
Testify
Love You Out Loud
Anything For Love
Couldn't Have Said It Better
Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth
Two Out of Three
Out of the Frying Pan and Into the Fire
Bat Out of Hell
Mercury Blues
Paradise
Glad I Live In the USA (?)

What an experience! We just got home a bit ago from a long drive, neither of us have returned to normality (were we ever there?)
since the concert. Forgive me if I ramble.

Meat is in top form, no need to worry, he's recovered...ohhh yeah! Big time...larger than life!!!

It is going to take some time to digest this event and give you a clear view. We were right up front (as well you should be after waiting at a county fair 4 hours in WI). It rained the night before, they spread hay where we stood. Smelled like a barn...yeah, PitP, this here is reality not that pop crap...but I digress.

To say this is a great show is an understatement. Look at that setlist! And the vast majority of the crowd didn't know anything about the new songs. But they seemed to like them. Seems they liked Testify the most.

All thru the concert they were in awe (well I think so, I was trying to get good pics for you folks). But after, everyone was raving about it and not a soul said a negative word.

Oh, there are some great "special visual effects", nice enough to enhance the experience, but not distracting to the music. Very cool and I'm not telling. But I think Jule will.

Anyhow, there are some pics at MOTS and hope some more will turn out good enough to share. I've rambled enough...so gone like a Bat Out of Hell...

This is T, posting on Jules puter, told you I"m not quite right yet...
what a concert!!!

What sort of crowd is Meat drawing? Over here in the UK most venues are between 10,000 - 15,000 people and was wondering what the attendances and venue sizes over there?

At this show I would estimate about 3,000-4,000 people, the venue holds 7,000 and it was not sold out. The venue was in a very rural area, in Northern Wisconsin far away from any large city. In the USA many county fairs have big name entertainment to draw in the crowds for the weekend, and this was one of them. The crowd loved the show, and people ranged in age from 10-60, with many families in attendance. Hope this gives you an idea.

I saw 5 pics on MOTS already. Thanks for the story. Sounds great. I still have to wait a few months but it'll be well worth the wait.
The age-range from what I saw at concerts in Holland are the same. 10-60. So cool... mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, all enjoying the same music.
Nice to read you and Jules had such a great time.

The review of the July 11th show is now posted on MOTS, beware it does include spoilers. More pictures will be coming, but T is working and they are his babies. We are getting things together slowly........

Default Thanks

Glad everyone liked the review, I don't always know if what I say is what folks want to hear. I found out the last song is called Living in the USA by Chuck Berry, so I have edited the review. Everyone, enjoy each and every show as this is the last time we may have the chance to live in this moment!

I thought your review was great ... thanks again !! That song sounds perfect ... I hope he does it at all the shows here in the US :) And I always get emotional when it comes to seeing the flag ... guess it comes from working with my parents at our flag store here in Delaware

Anyway, I know exactly what you mean about enjoying the shows ... I got my ticket for the show at Mohegan Sun today ---- 7th Row Center ---- and now it's going to be a long wait until September

Default New pics added

There are many more pics added from the Seymour, WI concert. To get an idea of the marvelous show we saw go to www.mirrorofthesoul.com there's a whole page of them if you click on the link in Jules' 7/20 post.

If you have any questions about any of them just ask. I'll try to answer, tho after a ML concert I'm usually so addled and amazed, Lord knows what I remember, LOL.

Enjoy,
T

Thanks Vicki,
we were right up front and it was too good a chance to pass up to get some pictures. Hope people enjoy them and can see the concert a bit like we did.

We just got back this afternoon fron IA, what a concert. 2 this close is leaving me really removed from reality.

IA had a great crowd, who seemed to love all the new songs. Will try to post more tomorrow. We are both addled and amazed still.

I'm going to have the same problem (?) in September ... I'll see him at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut on Wednesday, September 3rd, and then turn around and see him again at The Borgata in Atlantic City on Saturday, September 6th The good thing is I'll have the day off Thursday and then have to work on Friday and Saturday (before going to the show) .. so hopefully that'll bring me back to reality !! I don't know if that's good or not ... hehehehehe
