Default Lieber and Stoller Tribute Concert 2001

Just wondering if any one else attended this event at Hammersmith on the back of Meat being booked to perform?
I remember there being a collective groan when it was announced shortly before the show was due to begin that Meat was unable to sing that night.
I reckon he had put a few extra bums on seats.
However, I still found it a thoroughly entertaining evening.
My highlight came, unexpectedly, from an artist I had never appreciated prior to that point. It was Heather Small, who gave a quite outstanding rendition of her L & S track.

Must admit the only reason I was there was for Meat, was slightly pissed when it was announced he wasn't well but needn't have worried, was a fantastic night. Spent years waiting for it to be shown as they filmed it but to no avail, shame really as it was brilliant.

Indeed it was a great night, quite bizarre how many of us where all there in the same venue without actually knowing each other.

Highlight of the night for me was Nasty Nick from Eastenders.

I was there! Thankfully I - along with the rest of the group - was already a member of MLUKFC so knew Meat wasn't attending before we travelled, great night though.

Managed to grab a couple of front row seats - you'd think that would be good news but when Brian Connelly makes jokes based entirely around your Mum's boobs it kinda takes away from it!!
