I think I've heard similar tales about Rod before...I used to have this large format (like LP sized) book on 'rock scandals' I'd been given as a gift. It was published in the 80s and had Alice Cooper on the cover. I'm almost sure it said the same thing about Rod/rods.

I'm wondering if he meant the Midnight sessions with Tom Dowd, as Dowd did a heck of a lot of work with Rod before working with Meat. Nevertheless, great story

A - Is that true? It sounds bloody weird, but I can't see Meat saying something like that if it's not true without Rod Stewarts lawyers giving him a little deja vu about the early 80's.

Either way, it'll be interesting next time Meat and RS bump into each other.

B - I'm sure i'm in the minority here, but i'd like to think if I were in Meat's place i'd have a bit more respect and reserve to broadcast a story like that over the air about another artist just for cheap laughs

If Rod was making no effort to cover up his predilections I don't see why it's Meat's job to cover them up for him, besides which as I've said I've heard the story repeated elsewhere before.

And really? It'd be worth getting lawyers involved because someone suggested your recording booth had photos of knobs in it? I doubt it. It's hardly the worst accusation you can level at someone.

In other words Meat's not the first person to call him a c~~k-rocker.
