Under 1's - What Do We Do With Them?!

So, in a couple of hours we'll be having dinner with my best friend, her partner and 10-month old daughter who have just flown in from Dublin...got them for the whole day tomorrow and not a bloody clue what to do with someone so little!!!!

It really needs to be something that involves public transport as they've not brought the car seat with them...any help would be very much appreciated, as this thread is being posted by someone who would take her to a concert or the racetrack!

Get a babysitter!! and don't bring her anywhere. Problem solved.

A park, the beach, a playground. At 10 months, you don't need to worry too much about what the child will enjoy doing because she won't be old enough to run about or climb things. So long as some toys have been brought with them, yu should be able to go about your normal business, taking in the sights of the local area, going for coffee or whatever!

For the record, we went to a very nice family pub for lunch having been for a walk around the park...we didn't just take her to the pub!
