The story behind your username

Just thought this would be an interesting thread to start. I'd like to know why you choose the username you did when registering for this board? What was the reason you picked it for? Was it random? or is it your nickname?

I picked Steve6 because when I was registering it wouldn't let me have the username Stephen or Steve. So I had to add in a number, I was going to use steve666 but I didn't think that looked good, so I got rid of two of the 6's and ended up with Steve6.

Nowadays I'm starting to think SteveSix would look a bit better maybe.

I thought you picked Steve6 because your previous user name was banned? I picked Evil One because I am.

It was 2002 and I had just gotten internet. I needed a username for a website. Couldn't come up with anything. I was pregnant with my youngest so Hubby goes "How about tribrats. You know tri=3 brats=kids." It's been my username everywhere since. I now have it on a plaque my son had made for me and it's on my license plates.

As I said four years ago:

Wario + Meat Loaf = Look To The left above My icon.

Its unique, has a ring to it, and above all else it fits my personality to a Tee.

A little fun fact:

I had three other possible name choices as a user name for this site and my original you tube account in 2008: "Chicken Parm", "The Penguin", and "Jabbathehuttgartogg"

I was going to name myself Chicken Parm cause its my favorite food, The Penguin because hes my favorite comic book villain, or Jabbathehuttgartogg because it was a mixture of two of my favorite star wars characters.

I picked mine because I love wolves and I love Meat Loaf. Wolves howl so I thought I would howl over Meat. Plus instead of hollerformeatloaf I liked howlerformeatloaf. There you go.

i picked my name because someone said i had sexy eyes and my name is jo so thats pretty much why i chose my username

God no!! I've had Steve6 since day 1 on this place, and R and the rest of the moderators can confirm this. It was on the Rockman that I had loads of different usernames, because I was banned so often. That's why I settled with the username Conas, because Conas is the Irish word for saying How!!! Which I choose because HOW was I able to still post there after the trouble I got myself into. hahaha.

I thought it was interesting that Andy found a similar thread from 2004. I didn't know that. Don't you just hate the search button!!! It always brings up the past.

Adje how do you say you're name?....AD...J....is that right? Have to say it looks cool.

When I registered here, no one knew me and I knew no one > unbekannt = German for „unknown“.
Wooh, how mysterious! To be honest, I've been using this username for years and can't remember why I chose it. Anyway, it fit here.

Well, The-Meat-85.

The 85 is simple. It's when i was born. Meat comes from a couple places. Firstly i always called myself The Meat in a hilarious reference to my penis. Really. The second and most obvious is because i love Meat Loaf.

I'd considered Meaty Man, but it just didn't work for me. Also Matt Loaf, but i think that was taken. I've used Al Spool elsewhere, but i felt like a change, and The-Meat-85 just seemed to fit around here.

If you want to pronounce it right I guess you say Ad like 'what' (minus the WH) and JE as yes (minus the s)

Actually my real name is Ad. The JE part is used in the Netherlands for small children. So basically 'little Ad'. That's what people called me when I was young and although nobody says it anymore I always liked the innocent sound of it

Skybird is the name of a Neil Diamond song that I've loved for years and I added the 14 as there was a user on another site once with a name that was very similar.

I know many think I am a man because Danny is a man's name in English.
But all my friends call me that as an abbreviation for my real name so I chose it as my username. My best friend calls me Danny plus cream (the name of a German desserts) but that was a little too thick as my username

By the way the a in Danny sounds in german similar like the a in car not like in cat

I started using the name samurai7 on another forum many many years ago. It is derived from what is apparently a very good movie called The Seven Samurai, which I've still yet to see. Years later someone told me that there's also an animated series called samurai7, and yep, you've guessed it, I haven't seen that either! Some may remember that my original handle here was Son Of Meat Loaf, cos I thought it was quite cool in a Son of Kong or Son of Godzilla way, because Meat's stage characters are kinda behemothesque in their own way, and I like it!

I changed that username because someone said it could be construed in a completely different way. I still like it though
