Default The Masculine - Revved Up Connection

Over the years I've been listening to various things and have garnered an, albet creepy and some-what disturbing, in depth knowledge on Meat's live career.

Now I have always thought Masculine was taken out of the set in favor of Lemon. beacuse up until 1993 Meat didnt really have a real "rocker" then Lemon came along. and, like it or Not, "Break It" is now in both of their places in the current set.

With that said, im wrong. Masculine wasnt taken out in favor of Lemon. It was taken out in favor of the 1993-2004 arrangement of All Revved Up.

Notice how during the intro to Masculine during its final life time the drums would kick in and Meat would say, long the lines of:

"DO I HAVE ANY GOOD LOOKING [MEN/WOMAN] IN HERE TONIGHT?!"

Then when the Bat 2 tour started, he decided to put Masculine's intro onto Revved up an dyou get what's on LATW and on the MSO DVD.

Compare this:

to the LATW Revevd up. Flawless!

Its so obvious the intro for Revved up on the MSO DVD is the old Masculine intro varied slightly to give it the "All Revved Up" flavor. Its amazing!

I realized this a long time back, but I think its so cool Meat still had a piece of masculine in his set all the way up until 2004 with Revved Up was retooled.

Just a little tidbit: Now since 2004, the familiar all revved up intro riff has been absent from the set. It will be missed

Aint that interesting?!
