Default The 1981 footage from the aircraft hanger?

Was this lost along with the Dead Ringer film? Is it stashed away in Meat's vault? Sonenberg's vault? Somewhere else? Who would own the rights to it?

Meat has stated that the Wembley '82 concert will never again see the light of day so perhaps if we're lucky and all the planets and stars are in the correct alignment some of this may get released on DVD. I believe they filmed a whole, fully dressed, run through of the original Dead Ringer show.

For those who don't know, this is where the footage of Meat floating around like the world's biggest Tinkerbell comes from!

why would they have filmed a run through of the show?

was this when the videos for the single's were recorded?

Yes. So that's three songs that were filmed fully clothed and there's also an All Revved Up from this 'show' that was tacked on to the end of a documentary from many years ago.

what documentary was that?? and how would they have got the footage?

it would be reasonably safe to assume that all revved up had no reason to be recorded for any promotional purpose for the dead ringer album

Exactly, which I why I suspect the whole shebang was caught on tape. It was an old documentary about the return of Meat Loaf. It featured a fair bit of footage from the rehearsals.

Default 1981 footage

The videos for Dead Ringer songs were filmed at Westchester theatre as was part of the DR movie, things then moved on to an old airbase outside NY - Stewart Airbase

That old documentary does as you say have a 'fully clothed' extract from All revved up, so its fair to say more live footage may have been filmed during those rehearsal sessions

Meat may not like his performances from that era, but that's the era that I first saw him. They were highly enjoyable spectacles and I would like to see them again in their full glory. The 81-92 era deserves some proper releases. Full version of Bad attitude live for starters (and no more April fool jokes please!), surely Meat does not hate that concert?? Again a great tour to see. Lost boys tour - performance never better perhaps. Come on Meat!

Just confused ... '81 footage from an aircraft hanger ? - when did you see this, and if you did see this, then presumably it wasn't back in '81, so it exists on tape ? If so can someone post Meat floating around like the world's biggest Tinkerbell ... ? This we have got to see !

... or am I just losing my mind ?
