Default 3 Bats Live: Bad For Good REEDITED

I hope enjoy my hard work on not just reediting the monstrosity, but reediting the film to synch with it.

This is what should have been released, it took me 2 hours to put everything together.

and i'm only 19 years old and used imovie to do it

Tell me what you think:

What was the problem with the original exactly?? I watched it a few weeks ago and can't say I noticed lots of problems. Meat's vocal wasn't picked up during the second verse or so for a few lines but that was all I noticed.

Just listened to both versions and I can spot two changes to Meat's vocals. The "sea is whipping the sky" line has been overdubbed and the first of the last "instead of being bad for just a little while" has been overdubbed thus two bits are as you call it "corrected". But is this really corrected? These "mistakes" are also on the CD, but if this was simply not on the master tape then what to you expect them to do, what you have done? It is really taking the original out of context.

To call the original a monstrosity with only those niggles is quite disrespectful and over the top in my opinion.

Good work but eh I don't get it.

..... I called it a monstrosity because they let that huge audio mistake through. All I did was fix the audio mistake and where he came in early.

I did nothing to enhance his vocal. and nothing was "ovedubbed". The Second "sea is whipping the sky" was placed over where his mic cut off and fixed where his mic cut off the second time with a copy and paste from "Instead of being bad for just a little while" and the third is time his mic cut off I used studio vocal again.

Thats all i did just to make it look better. The performance itself is great, the way it was produced was the monstrosity.

This version is way better than that hideous monstrosity that we call a studio version. But that really ain't saying much because this is a SHIT song anyway, IMO.

The original version on the BFG album remains the best version of this NOT SHIT (IMO) song.

I personally don't like any version of this song as you could tell from my post above.

I think it's one of Steinman's best actually. Such a good follow up as album opener after Bat, which fair enough he will never top anyway but almost did with AFL imo.

Best part of Meat's version was the little Brian May guitar intro but it could have been better had they not shortened it and more piano.

I still don't see why Wario's version is so much different. I admit he improved it and did a good job but I just don't think much was wrong with it at all. I don't expect live versions of songs to be perfect whatsoever, that's the beauty of going to gigs, it always sounds a little bit different.

Recently, "shit(ty) song" seems to be one of your favorite terms when it comes to songs performed by Meat. You sang a totally different tune not that long ago.

I think it's only an ok version of the song but the 3 Bats Live version does not do any justice to it at all. No power in the vocals for me and kind of a paint by numbers mentality when it comes to the music.

but hey that's just my opinion.

Sorry but Jim can't sing for shit, so the original is utter crap, and the video made for it is worse, and is a big block of cheese. The song is a excellent song though, much prefer Meat singing it.

No question I prefer Meat's vocals, but the arrangement of Jim's version knocks the socks off Mr Child's crap.

i agree with him to an extent. Jim CAN sing, but doesn't have POWER.

The instrumentation of the Jim original is what saves it.

Bat 3 vocal on that instrumentation and you're talking serious win.
