Default Another Date Change in the US Tour

For anyone else who is going to the concert in Reno (or for those of you who are monitoring the tour on their websites for everyone): I just discovered yesterday that the date has been changed. It was originally set for August 1, but is currently scheduled for July 31st.

Having spoken with Tenth Street Entertainment and the Silver Legacy (who are selling the tickets), this has now been confirmed by both.

The reason for the change: Fleetwood Mac is also scheduled to give a concert on August 1st in another section of Reno and the city did not want two large rock and roll shows going on at the same time. So, Meat was asked if he could reschedule his show for the day before and he agreed.

All tickets for August 1st will, of course, be honored on July 31st.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the venue.

Hope this is a help. :)

Love,
MB

ps. Just received a message on a mailing list from someone who indicated that she had gotten notice the concert on July 25th in Marymoor Park, Redmond WA has been CANCELLED! This has NOT yet been confirmed, though! She said that she got the word through TicketMaster.

I'm sure we will all hear more about it as the day goes on! Let's hope this is the ONLY cancellation forthcoming and that this was just some kind of scheduling problem at the last minute --MB

Opening Dates On
Meat Loaf Tour Canceled
Updated 12:24 PDT Fri, Jun 13 2003
Meat Loaf has canceled the first three dates of the U.S. leg of what is his world tour after undergoing emergency intestinal surgery June 10.
According to his publicist, the surgery was routine and Meat Loaf is expected to make a full recovery.
The dates affected are June 22 in Saratoga, Calif., June 24 in Boise, Idaho, and Redmond, Wash., on the 25th. Tickets to those shows will be fully refunded and make-up dates may be forthcoming.
Once he's back on his feet and on the road, Meat Loaf is expected to tour for 15 months, crisscrossing the globe and playing amphitheatres, festivals and arenas supporting his new album, Couldn't Have Said It Better. He says this is his last world tour.
North American dates are now scheduled to begin June 27th in Southern California and a European trek commences in October.

Oh, Sue! Thank you for sharing this as quickly as you did! I just KNEW something was wrong when Washington concert got cancelled at this late date!! Meat only cancels when he's ill!

In the pit of my stomach I felt something was VERY wrong. I even searched around for the other early venues, including the one I was supposed to be attending in a few days, and everything was still there and in place.

Meat, PLEASE take your time and get well! Your health is MUCH MORE important than anything else!! We all love you and only want the best for you!

Our prayers are certainly there with you today!! We all know how you hate being sick!!

Feel better SOON and please, when you can, if you can, have someone let us know how you're doing!!

With much love,
MB

This can indeed mean a lot, for all we know it's just his appendix. Me being a nurse on a surgical ward makes me list all kinds of 'routine' intestinal surgery.

Anyway, I hope he will feel better soon, and be his own energetic self again.
All my best wishes, and get well soon, Meat.

I am confused, went to Paul Crooks site and read that the first show would be Plymouth!

Still, most import thing is for Meat to make sure he is 100% well!!

Wow, Meat must have been ill quite suddenly- from all that I heard about the Vegas show (May 30-June 1st?) he was rockin' full speed, then to have emergency intestinal surgery just 9 days later- ouch! I wonder if this occured in New York or Los Angelos? Either way, I agree- Meat's health is the number one priority here, I just hope he takes off enough time and doesn't rush back too quickly.

Hopefully nothing too serious, get well soon meat and don't rush back. A 15 month world tour will take a lot out of him never mind the operation which is why me need to be patient and let the tour begin when it begins so to speak. If he hits the road now not 100% then byt the time 15 months come things prob will be a lot worse!
Hopefully they'll be a rescheduling soon for the 3 shows that folks here will miss.

It's a shame that Meat has had to pull out of these shows, but like everyone has already said his health is NO.1 priority.
Meat, sending you best wishes for a speedy recovery.Don't you dare even thinking about hitting that road until your feeling 100% better.
Your in our thoughts and prayers.
Rock on.

GET WELL CARD FOR MEAT
I've just had an idea .
How about we all sign a get well soon card for Meat?
I'll go and buy a nice big card.
The first person to post a reply here should also send me a PM with their address so I can pass it on.
Then that person should send it to the next person who posts until it's gone round everybody.
Then the last person can send it to the club to be forwarded on to Meat .
Unfortunatly as much as i'd like too,I don't think it's practical to include members outside the UK with this card,as it will take a long time to get round as it is .But there is nothing stopping our foreign friends starting cards in their own countries .
Two more points.
1.Please wrap the cards envelope in paper when sending it as we don't want 500 addresses plasters accross the front .
2.It's gonna take a long time to get around as it is so please,as soon as you get it,sign it and get it right out to the next member .
OK,the card will be in the post tomorrow.
Who's first

Great idea Flying Mouse! Before I read your message, I sent a card out in this AM's mail, to his management company in LA. It should arrive there by Wednesday, I am hoping that they will forward it to him in a timely manner. I wish we knew what hospital he was in so we could send something cheery, like a cookie bouquet or something. I suppose he would prefer his privacy, but it would be nice if we could cheer him up as he recovers.

Well, I'd like to participate but... I'm in Holland and by the time the card gets here and is sent back, a few weeks would have passed.
Can't we do something with an ecard or a feedbackform on a site?

I'm thinking of the personal touch Guppie. .
Why not start a card over in Holland? There are plenty of Dutch members who'd like to sign i'm sure.

Actually, I just got to thinking, Meat is likely out of the hospital already and recovering at home. With the state of the American health care system, they are practically chasing you out of the hospital before they've cleared all the clamps and sponges! Literally, my son had open heart surgery (with his heart completely stopped for 53 minutes) at age 4 and they discharged us in 5 days! So a "routine" intestinal surgery is likely only a 2-3 day hospital stay. Let's hope that ML is comfortable at home, it's never fun to be at the hospital!
