Default Hidden Track!

Has everybody found the hidden track on CHSIB?

If you jump to Forever Young and let it run past the track for about 2 or 3 minute there is a track which is not listed on the album.

Not exactly sure of the title? Could be Gonna Buy Me A Mercury?

If any one else has found it and knows the title I would be appreciated if they would share it with me.

For those who have not found it FIND IT!..........................NOW!!

On the copy I have, the hidden track, Crazy About A Mercury, begins about 7:08 of track 11 (Forever Young).

The credits (who plays what instrument) can be found on the inside back cover of the booklet.

That was a big hit here in the US a few years back for Alan Jackson, the country singer. I love Meat's version, but many Americans will be familiar with the more country/rock version of it by Jackson. A version of it sung by a female singer is currently running on Mercury commercials over here as well.

It's a great track but I don't really see the point in having it as a "hidden track".

I find it a bit of a nuisance having to listen to Forever Young then 2 or 3 mins of silence before I can hear Mercury.

it is a hidden track because it doesn't fit in the concept of the album. it is an encore. like the rock and roll medley at a concert.
Or maybe Meat use it as an epilogue. Than CHSIB is the prologue (Thanx to Mariella, for this point of view).

altho it is a clever and fun surprise ..embedded as it is..i do hope the intent is to list it on the cd when it is released here in the USA...i intend to be calling my local country station during my promotional efforts ..to point out that MERCURY is on Meat's latest cd...hoping they will mention it...

what i think is a funny share tho...was listening to CHSIB cd at work one day...FOREVER YOUNG played ..and then..of course the wait? then the bit of the car starting up? i went to the window to see who was leaving the parking lot...before i realized...lol..it was MERCURY..on the player...

lol..ya have those days ya know?

SOMEtimes..ya have many of them...

tink...XO

Now, I could be wrong, but I do believe that is the amazing Patti LaBelle that lends her mystical voice for the commercial.

I'd still rather be able to listen to it by selecting a track number rather than having to through the rigmarole of listening to another track plus a few mins of silence first.

I agree that I would have prefared for the track to have it's own number.
I'm always getting in the mood for a certain song and listening to it over and over again by pressing the repeat function on my CD player.Unfortunatly it's not very practical for Forever Young or Crazy About A Mercury .

I got round the problem by rippping the entire CD on to my computer. I edited Forever Young, deleted the silence, and created a new track for Mercury. I also 'liberated' Intermezzo. Add Unsaid and Decadent Wish, and there's the Ultimate CHSIB.

The correct title is:
Mercury Blues

Meat preformed it live in Amsterdam and it was Great!

I don't think Fire Ball likes this concept

Why not? I bought the CD, and the new CD's for personal use only.

What concept? Ripping the CD to your harddrive (which is legal, by the way), or cutting the Intermezzo and Mercury Blues loose from MoS and FY? It does not change the order of the album... so shouldn't really matter.

But I think that you're referring to filesharing, and that's a whole other discussion... I'm in the proces of ripping all my CD's to harddisk, because I find that more convenient then switching between CD's all the time... and as long as I'm not distributing those files (== for personal use only), there isn't a damn thing wrong with that.

I think Bart was saying if Meat would have wanted Unsaid and Decadent Wish on the album, they would have been there.

Great day to all of you,

I don't think that he deleted "intermezzo", but that he just cutted it free (liberated it) from MoS. *I* cut "intermezzo" free of MoS, because I don't like it (at all) and when I don't include it in the playlist, I won't have to hear it!
And I wouldn't include Decadent Wish and Unsaid too, cause they clearly sound like "left overs" (read: filler) to me.

But thanks for clearing that "uncertainty" up...
