Wink Special Girl LIVE

Thought Id share this with you. i love the BBIS album but this live version really shows us how crappy its album version really was.

Yea some say the BBIS songs are better live and such, but Special Girl live is so much better then its album counterpart its a wonder this song wasn't on the live album in 1987:

Because it wasn't part of the set for either of the two shows. Special Girl replaced Two Out Of Three, and it makes sense to have that on the album.

If my memory is correct this was recorded at the Birmingham NEC and it may have been one of the only times it was played live at least in the UK, i was involved with the fan club in stockport at the time and remember them telling me that the record company REALLY wanted meat to play this live but he did not want to for some reason, i was backstage and remember a very heated conversation with the execs and meats people, anyway great song!!

Default Brand New Live Version of Special Girl

Better quality, far superior to the album:

Its from the NEC in Birmingham, as mindnick1 stated its the only other time he performed it.

Deleted the shitty old video i previously posted.

But he did that instead of Two Out Of Three, so it wasn't the best trade in the world!

A little change is always good. When meat switched out two outta three during Melbourne on night two with FCOL nobody complained.

A) He did For Crying Out Loud on night one, Two Out Of Three was night two.

B) You can't seriously compare Special Girl to FCOL.

Whoever holds the BBIS tapes better hand 'em over, because if one record in the universe deserves a thourough remastering, it's this one. Dammit man!

Dead Ringer needs remastering before anyone even thinks of looking in the direction of BBIS.

I read the post as if he was saything he thought it was one of the only times it was performed. What I was tying to say he was correct. Badly worded, my mistake.

other sources who ive talked to indicated it was only performed twice to their recollection.

Andy would possibly know for sure. Im pretty sure he was one of the sources awhile back, but I don't wanna put words in his mouth.
