Default Meat and Cyndi Shows

Hi, friends!

A couple of the concerts I'll be going to in August will be with both Meat and Cyndi Lauper.

Just yesterday, I received a letter from one of the venues (Konocti Harbor Resort in Kelseyville) and I thought this might be of interest to any of you who will also be attending Meat/Cyndi shows around the US.

Basically it was a letter letting me know that the times for the concert have been changed. It stated that "the artists would like to perform an extra long, nearly 4-hour show and therefore, it has been necessary to adjust the times accordingly."

Was it you, Sue, who was wondering a little while ago as to whether Cyndi would be doing a full set or not? (I think it was you.) Well, I guess this answers that question. Yes, she will be doing two hours, now starting at 6 p.m. And then, Meat will come on about 8:15 p.m. and do his two (or whatever).

Long night for everyone, but it sounds like it's going to be fun!! Anybody here ever seen Cyndi Lauper in concert before?? It'll be interesting seeing the two of them doing the last song of the evening together. Wonder which song they'll select?

If this is, indeed, the case everywhere, then all the venues with both Meat and Cyndi will probably be notifying concert goers, if times have to be changed. So, be on the lookout for those letters or emails. Or check with the venues you'll be going to, if there's a question.

Hope this helps. Have a great day, everyone!

Love,
MB

MB,

This is the coolest! Imagine, getting even more for your money than you expected- that's refreshing, isn't it? I am very big into 80's music (I've been told I'm stuck in the 80's), I was thrilled to hear that Cyndi Lauper was opening for Meat. Enjoy the concert, I so wish I could catch one of the concerts with Cyndi Lauper but unfortunately theres just no way to make that happen.

Thanks for the info MBrevard

I've never seen Cyndi Lauper in concert before. But my hairdresser saw Cyndi when she was opening for Cher ... and she said that Cyndi's show was better than Cher's !! So it sounds like you're in for some great concerts .... enjoy them

Hi, Sherrie and Vicki! Now, I AM getting excited! It's going to be a wonderful concert! I'm assuming the Reno show will be the same and so, I'll have these two, back-to-back--one day and then the next.

But still, I have to admit, it's going to be hard waiting the two hours for Meat to come on....Is it terrible to say that?? Hope not...just being honest!

I've enjoyed Cyndi's music through the years and I'm sure she puts on a great show!! But no matter what, she not what I'm there for!

Ah well...and then, with such a long concert, there's the restroom worry. I've never been to the Reno venue before so I don't know about their facilities, but last year at Kelseyville, the restroom situation for 5000 people was NOT GREAT!! And there's probably only going to be 15 minutes between sets!!! OMG!!!

I 'm not even going to think about drinking WATER during the shows!! Fo'get about it!!!

Am I the only person who thinks about things like this????

Love to you both,
MB

Hi MB !!

That's so great that you're going to both shows I'll be anxious to find out what you think of Meat and Cyndi together !

I know exactly what you mean ... I'm sure it's going to be a very long two hours before Meat comes on I've heard she's opening for him at Mohegan Sun, but I'm not sure about Atlantic City .... I guess I'll find out in September ! I definitely wouldn't drink any water if I were you ....
:P
