I am not really a Connolley fan!

Prefer jasper Carrott, Peter Kay and of course Tommy Cooper, Eric Morecambe and all thsoe greats.

Classic Cooper:

A chap came up to me in the street today and said "I wanna cut off the bottom six inches of your trousers and put them in the library." I said "Well, thats a turn up for the books!!!"

I agree, Tommy, Tops, Eric & Ernie, Tops, Rik and Ade, Tops(so good i'm going to see them live in Belfast the night after and berfore Meat :) )

One thing i dont understand likeing Chubbs and not Billy, classic Billy, "Mexico in south America shares and extaordinary simalarity with Cairo in Egypt...the smell of s hit!"

Dick.

Also like Ken Dodd, going to see him in October.

Peter Kay - Have it!
Jack Dee
Lee Evans - Monkey Boy

What about comedy programs? Fave of all time is Red Dwarf. Closely followed by Porridge.

Billy Connolley is the best

Jack Dee and Jasper Carrot can be really funny and Morecambe and Wise are hilarious.

Red Dwarf has got to be one of the funniest shows ever, met Craig Charles once he's a funny guy.

Peter Kay
Billy Connolly

TV SHOWS

Alan Partridge
Only Fools and Horses
Pheonix Nights
Men Behaving Badly
Father Ted
Ali G
Bo Selecta
League Of Gentlemen
The Office
Bottom / Young Ones

I must admit I love comedy - Steve Coogan is very funny as Alan Partrige and Paul Calf.

The Office has been great - Ricky gervais is great as David Brent and there is a great supporting cast.

Men Behaving Badly is not everyones cup of tea but I find it very easy to watch.

Bo Selecta is just so stupid that its funny so if you've never watched it then check it out - new series starts 6th june.
Last series highlight was Micheal Jack(ass) naked chicken skating!!!!

Only fools and Horses - best comedy ever!!!!

League Of Gentlemen - first two series were excellent but the last few have been PATHETIC!!!!!

Billy Connolly very briefly had a show in the US, and I really like him. I haven't seen much of his other work, though. I am a big fan of Rik Mayal and Ade Edminson as Young Ones, Comic Strip Presents and Bad News had a short run on American MTV in the late 1980's. Mayal had an American movie called "Drop Dead Fred", I was literally the only one in the theatre to pay to see it! I also like Fawlty Towers, Not the Nine o' Clock News, Only When I Laugh and of course Monty Python. Very little British comedy is now shown where I live, though we get a bit of Black Adder once a week.

Personally I like Youp van 't Hek and Bert Visscher a lot, but they're both Dutch so you'll probably don't know them.

I like almost any comedy programmes on TV although I cannot abide the Office!!!!!!

I prefer all the classic sitcoms - Open all Hours, Porridge, Summer Wine, Fawlty Towers, Only Fools & Horses, The Good Life etc etc

Here's some classic Billy Connolly for you, saw it in today's paper...

The best way to identify a tartan is to look under the kilt, if you see a quarter pounder, then you know it's a McDonald.

It was so cold I woke up and found an ice cube in the bed, I threw it in the fireand it went FART!

No, but that is an amazingly good idea! How funny would he be! I know he has been in South Park, not sure about any other cartoons.

He would have to take over the whole episode though! Maybe that could be the script, he just turns up everywhere! No small cameo for Meat.
