Not exactly true

.net is non existant, Meat makes regular visits to the forum, and news seems to have a habit of finding it's way onto our forum before anywhere else, but that doesn't make us the official website.

For sure, Meat is getting more popular in France since a little while.
And I don't think it's going to stop right now

Funny how Meat could fill stadiums and arenas all over the world, yet in his home country he would struggle to fill a garden shed. Says something about most Americans!

Reminds me of this famous quote ...

Elwood: What kind of music do you usually have here?
Claire: Oh, we got both kinds. We got country and western.

I believed it too, but in fact he also came in 1995 during the tour following the release of Welcome To The Neighborhood.

Where I'm from, Pop Culture and Media is very much a part of everyone's lives! Luckily the people I love can be very down to earth. Sometimes when advertising becomes more important to a person than their own thoughts. Things just seem strange. Thank God for The Doors! And Meat Loaf!

I steered away from what I wanted to say. I discovered that music is rarely genre based in my clique. There are an ample amount of us that like to think of just the artists as they are. Not what kind of music or anything.

(hope I never offended anyone here)

Then they have some pretty impressive garden sheds in the USA!!!

That he doesn't do arenas in the US is true .. all the better imo; I much prefer the theatre shows over there .. but he sold out of two consecutive nights at MSG as quickly as he sold out the RAH

i think he's definately still going strong! went to bloodstock the other month, which is a very heavy metal festival and yet loads of people were asking for meat merchindise. spoke to one stallholder and he said it was constant, so he'd been on the phone to his boss and they where getting all the patches and stuff ready for the onslaught next year!!!

Sorry to sound pedantic but it was actually 30th May 1996 (at the Grand Rex), not 1995. The Welcome To The Neighbourhood Tour didn't start until 1st April 1996 in Exeter.

Previous to that he played in Paris (at La Zenith) on 21st September 1994.

Was the Live In The Neighbourhood show at the Beacon Theater in October '95 not part of the Born To Rock tour then?

That was a promotional concert (which was recorded).

The tour was from 1st April (Exeter) until 1st June (Esjberg, Denmark) in Europe and then there was a US leg from late June until August or early September (I can't remember the dates off-hand).
