The rare songs: River deep Mountain High
Meat played this one during the Bat out of hell tour.
it's a duet between him and i think Karla Devito, it's a very good version of the song. I give this one 8/10 by the way i'm new and wanted to say to you all!! :) |

Great song. Classic Rock 'n' Roll.
My score: 7 Garret will not be angry, because otherwise I will be angry. And I'm mod, Garret isn't. |

Anybody is allowed to start a song conversation on this forum. If a duplicate topic is opened (as in the past),it will be locked and a message will be left asking for the conversation to continue on the original thread. Up to now, designated people have been allowed to start song topics. That's fine by me ,but please don't tell new members, who don't know how things have been run, that they are making people mad without any further explaination. It is very unwelcoming . Thanks. |

Batloaf!
I think if you want to do something you'd rate the non-album live songs, like River Deep Mountain High. Well, Batloaf! Start to rate these songs!!! And speak about when did Meat perform it. Which is the best, etc. |

White, you did my job. I wanted to shout at batloaf.
But Garret, everybody can start a song topic, I thought I explained that. |

Thought I'd drag this one back up!
Just been listening to a 1978 recording of River Deep Mountain High and its just so cool! There is so much energy in their voices and I love performances that push singers right to the edge of their capabilities - there are some great, long, powerful, ragged notes held and it adds a great raw edge. The honky-tonk piano really makes it, just wish I had a better quality recording, this works great as a duet and I'd love to hear Meat and Patti sing it. Luke |

Celine Dion does a mean version on her Falling Into You album. Jim Steinman produced it too
