Default Jet Nearly Crashes at Hamburg Airport

Here's some footage of a Airbus A 320 attempting to land at Hamburg's airport during a wind storm on Saturday.
That's some pretty scary stuff.

Too right, there's a guy who deserves a pay rise! I hope he's piloting all my flights from now on!

Surprised Air Traffic Control let them even let them start final approach in those coniditions though!

Actually, that's pilot's decision.

Watched it already on Saturday hon, itīs ok really. Got a friend who used to work at that airport for a while so he was pretty fast with finding the sites that are giving information about it and so I was shown a few scary pics (the wing had more than just a few scratches...) from what happened aswell but they had been taken offline after the press found out about this.
The pilot did a bloody great job!!!

these are the only ones I found so far... as I said, every other proper pic that showed too much was taken offline...

Like I said before, the pilot was amazing, that was an incredible recovery from what could have been so much worse. Looked close, didn't realise he'd actually scraped the ground....that's a two medal job that is.

Really scary to watch, ive never flown, ive got a really bad phobia about flying and keep
being told i should fly,a friend of mine has worked for BA for 25 years and is now a percer
and she has never been in an emergency situation,so that does say a lot for flying, will
give it a go one day.
