Well there's a thread to make your heart jump when you log on!

Given what's happened over the past few months is this likely to be another compilation or box set?

Absolutely Anji, and as I said with everything that's gone on over the past few months I really can't see this being anything that we don't have already, not that it won't be welcomed if whatever it is does go ahead!

The 3 Bats CD Box set has currently been shelved. That was being released by Sony (Bat 1) with the help of EMI (Bat 2) and Universal (Bat 3).

No idea at all what this could be.

Universal currently own the rights to the following old material.

Bat 3
BOOH Live
CHSIB
Storytellers
There is also the 'studio-live' recordings from CHSIB
The Radio 2 sessions
And I think that is it.

If it is a box set or whatever, they'd have had to buy the rights from either Sony or EMI for whatever material.

Non of that really gets me excited, to be honest.

I'm guessing it will be a compilation from Bat 3, CHSIB and the live tracks from the CHSIB Australian bonus disc.

wouldnt be too sure there, these numerous cheap best of things are mostly done by arista, arent they? The fact that its mercury at least implies that itll be half-interesting to see this will be.
Still, wouldnt get too excited either. My (optimistic) guess would be another version of bat3, maybe with a few 3 bats live tracks on a bonus disc, but again, thats optimistic thinking lol

Yeah, its usually the BMG collection cheap ones or the EMI Best Ofs with Live versions of the titles they don't own (Bat, 2 Out Of Three etc) the studio version of.

So...

With that in mind, it can't be any of that stuff.

It could be another version of Bat 3, but I don't see the point in that. They're done with that album, it's been put with CHSIB.

And we're all almost sure there is no new stuff as at least one of us on the forums would have found out something!

It'll be interesting.

Ages no. Minutes yes. Just get a DVD audio rip program and press the buttons. I forget which program it is I use, but I can check when I'm home this evening if anyone's interested.

what he means by ages was it took ages to find the right software, some out there suck but i personally dont think much of the dvd works just as audio, his vocals arent strong enough in this particular show imo.

Also think they missed the boat for the release anyway.

That was different as it was market as Bat Out Of Hell Live.

No track listing or anything yet, I'm back in work tomorrow so I'll get bugging people.

RJ, yeah, its a live CD, not a DVD.
