You mention that Bat is on the AFL Single. Is your single a US single or something because the one I have has AFL, Back Into Hell and Everything Louder (Live).
Also, I see many of you have mentioned how good the live versions are on the Bat II singles. Are these the same versions that are on Live Around The World because I have a Runnin' For the Red Light UK single which has Life is a Lemon, Dead Ringer and Amnesty is Granted (All Live). Lemon and Dead Ringer are the two versions that are on Live Around the World and I was wondering if it was the same case with the Bat II singles.
Thanks

AFL was released as two cds - cd1 had the tracks you mention.
cd2 was in a cardboard case and contains the tracks - AFL(radio edit) and You Took The Words and Bat Out Of Hell, both Live versions, which are great.

I don't think the tracks on Live Around the world are the same live versions as the ones on the bat 2 singles, although they are very similar.
There was some great live tracks released on the bat 2 singles including a great live version of Masculine on the cd2 version of objects in the rear view mirror

I felt compeled to bring this thread to life again.
After all, last Glasgow gig was the last one for many of us here...

Favorite live versions:

- Midnight performed on 30/01/04 at SECC - Glasgow

- Testify performed on 30/01/04 at SECC - Glasgow

- AFL performed on 24/01/04 at Wembley

- DIST performed on 18/12/03 at Wembley

- BOOH performed on 18/12/03 at Wembley

- and a very special thought for Lawyers performed anytime, anywhere...

I could continue the list, but these are my highlights.

I think my fave live version of Paradise hasta be from the end of Rock and Roll Hero CD. Absolutely superb the way Meat holds that note - and then to hear the audience singing 'Dashboard Light' - Brilliant.

Yes!! Heat, that album was one of the first Meat Loaf albums I bought years ago and it's very dear to my heart. I love that version of Paradise.

At the Glasgow gig last week Meat held that very same note and let the audience - and me! - sing 'light' for him. Instantly it reminded me of this version, and how much I loved it! What a great moment!

I'm lovin the live version of '2 out of 3' from Wembley '88 (i think) on 'the Masters' album....that guitar solo in the middle is just amazing - and his voice towards the end - gets me every time!

Those versions of Paradise and Two Outta Three are both taken from Meat Loaf Live (recorded 1 & 2 March 1987).
It is a FANTASIC album .
Awesome live versions .

Track list is...
Blind Before I stop
Rock "N" Roll Mercenaries
Took The Words
Midnight At The Load & Found
Modern Girl
Paradise
Two Outta Three
Bat Out Of Hell
Masculine
Rock "N" Roll Medley (Johnny B. Goode, Slow Down, Jailhouse Rock, Blue Suede Shoes)

It is still available to buy. Most shops won't have it in stock, but they should be able to order it for you.CD code 258 599.
I can't recomend it enough
