The single being rereleased is certain to help the album chart position.

Bad news this week......

The album has dropped out of the Official UK Album Charts which were announced on Sunday (the official charts only list the Top 40 albums).

In the UK Rock Singles Chart the single has also dropped out of the charts.
The album is down 4 places to #15 in the Rock Album Charts.

Still, there's still a lot to be optomistic about .Singles released, party in the park, the upcoming tour...
Hopefully this will bring the album back up.

I have noticed this week that MVC and Amazon are selling the album at a reduced price now. Hope this may encourage non-Meat fans to give it a try. Wishful thinking?

Hopefully a LOT will sell at Plymouth and Party in the Park .. and when they take it home they'll tell others who weren't lucky enough to be at the concerts ..

Perhaps this is when the promised PR campaign from Mercury will kick in? Some nice gas-filled balloons in bright colours with Meat booting someone up the bum?

Album took a fall this week although still in the Top 40 Rock Albums. Good news is that it's on the way up on Tesco's top sellers list . Some concerted efforts to get it airtime, plus Meat's promotional appearances at the end of the week and the 2 concerts might help it on it's way back up the national charts

But when you look at the 14/15 million Bat 2 sold, the fans are still there but why aren't the cds being sold - i think the copying of cds will affect the sales of any artist and the figures will never reach that again, but hopefully the american market will bring it up into the millions.

What you say is quite true, Chris. The release of CHSIB has been different, too, with it being a 'staggered' release--a few countries and then a few more, so that Meat could do promotion as it came out ...Still a number of countries are yet to come, including, as you say, the US, plus Canada and the rest of the Americas, Australia, NZ, Japan, a few more in Europe...

I wouldn't think there would be a problem getting it into the millions by the time it's out around the world. It may not come up to the 14/15 million you quote, but I would imagine it would be quite respectable for the times, depending, as always, on the effectiveness of the Record Companies' promotions country-by-country (don't have to question Meat's effectiveness in his promotions--he ALWAYS is!! ).

Here in the US, though, we Meaty fans are going to give it a good shot--no matter what the Label does!! We're ready and raring to go!!

Love,
MB

It looks like CHSIB has dropped way down the official album charts this week as even in the official Rock Album charts it dropped from 15 to #39.

Interestingly BOOH is a re-entry at #32 (on the Epic lable) but remember this is only the ROCK album charts not the proper album charts.

And now some good news....!

In the official charts that were announced on Sunday, the single CHSIB is a re-entry at #36 in the Rock Singles Charts and the album is up from #39 to #34 in the Rock Album Charts. BOOH is up from #32 to #29.

I would guess that this is mainly due to the Patrick Kielty Show but please remember that this is only the ROCK charts. None of these are anywhere near the proper Top 40.

i guess the lable only give a shit about bon ~~~~ing jovi as they only seem to be promoting their stuff... nothings happening with the 're-released' single and the shops know nothing about it...

There must be something in one of the contracts for them to promote this...

I certainly hope not Testify!

When I heard about the re-release I thought they would pull out all the stops to ensure it got to the no.1 spot that it deserved.

But there doesn't seem to be much happening on the promotion front.
You'd think they'd get it right second time around, have they learnt nothing!
