I think it's interesting how people react to the two expressions, and why they think one is better than the other.

Is it that "lip syncing" sounds more proffessional, while "mime" makes you think of a guy with a white face and a berret locked in a glass box or walking against the wind?

nope, that's is from 2003.

Meat's last performance was a medley of songs (You Took the Words, All of me and Anything for Love)

Ok, but of a misunderstanding there. By 'last time' I guess I meant 'previous'. In English it sort of makes sense, as we'd say 'last time' for the appearance before, and 'this time' regarding the most recent, but I can see how it's easily misunderstood. I do know that this is from 2003 and that he's been on again since then (and personally think that was also lipsynched.) I was merely offering this video as evidence that Meat has lipsynched on the show before. Sorry for any confusion :)
