I joined because it was the biggest and best on the net at the time, and a couple of other Meat sites were just tooooo f*cking weird

Ive been here since yahoo chat and then joined in 1997 as I am a huge fan and wanted to talk Meat Loaf with like minded people! I have met so many great people because of this site and its been great fun.

as michael said, go over to the bat3 section then you will find out stuff, as quite often i have seen stuff here before .net mentions it.
And as for playing stupid games, not everything revolves around Meat and that is something this site recognizes. We are all Meat fans and thats how we came together but whats wrong with talking about something other than Meat, after all that's how REAL life is, not just about one thing.
As far as .net goes if you want to talk nonsense about Meat then thats the place, imo no better or worse than the stupid games played over here

Saw my first Meat Loaf show Aug of 2005, though had been following him since Bat 1. Why I waited so long to see him live, I still don't know. Was so taken in, that I wanted to learn more. When I discovered that OIFC was changed due to the owner's death, I explored and found UK. I had never been involved in any fan club site before, and especially forums. I joined that fall of 2005, and was silent on the forums until about the time the new chat came in. Once I started, there's been no stopping me. Have met some of my now closest friends on here and this is my 'home', in spite of my now spending lots of time following Meat around his site. My first loyalty is still here.

I'm actually working undercover for the Tori Amos fan club (that'll test your memories), with a complex cover story spanning almost 25 years of following the man both recorded and live around the globe. This undercover work has encompassed four different incarnations of the UK Fan Club.

I guess you could say I'm here for life now, having brought the fan club PO Box back to an SK8 postcode

At one point I was randomly looking around the 'net for a Meat site where I could find all the latest Meat news etc and chat with like minded people occasionally, this place seemed like the nicest/friendliest of all and as it's UK based it made more sense to me to sign up here than elsewhere.
