Might I just mention, btw. Jim Steinman does NOT sing this song. The vocalist on the "Jim Steinman version" is Rory Dodd, one of the most under-rated "lost stars" in the history of rock and roll... he went from the original Bat tour to lead vocalist on a Steinman solo album that went platinum, he sang on "Total Eclipse of the Heart", the original version of one of the most indelible love standards of all time, he was there from the beginning right up to the Neighborhood era (and probably a bit after)...
Now he is a Real Estate agent |

Ooops, sorry. Didn't see that
Btw. I like your user-name. It's like the old Frankenstein movies: Meat Loaf, Bride of Meat Loaf, Son of Meat Loaf I always saw him in that light, an anti-hero with super powers. He's not just a rock-star, he's a super-rock-star |

Thanks... I was thinking along the 'Son Of Kong' lines, but it's the same sort of idea. Meat Loaf is a character, a behemoth, a creation. I am a 'continuation' of that theme.

"....And this is the Bathroom, you will like it, you will love it, come in and see. Yes this is the bathroom, if you're nice I'll throw in some towels for free... Oh this is the Bathroom, watch your step as you come through the door... This is the bathroom, look at that magnificient tiled floor...." Rory's voice is quite good I must say. I always thought Jim sang that whole album. Explains a lot Rory did this. I'm sure "Surf's Up" would not have been in such a high key if Jim sang it on the album for instance.
