Tops for me has to be 'Crying out Loud' because of all the emotion he puts in to it.

Default Live video from RTL

My all-time favourite is on video, RTL Dutch ? - "I'd Lie For You (And That's The Truth)" with Pattie - blows me away every time! Meat at his very best!

Downloaded from the KaZaa site last year.... Now on my computer, play it often.

I don't know Bart!

I have not seen this version on any video - but I wish it was, and the other songs he sang there - if there were any others!

Meat was on great form.

Love Her For Both Of Us, BFG - Vienna 88. Heaven, Frying Pan from LATW, Bat at Wembley 87. More Than from Storytellers and Piece of the Action from 84.
as an aside does anyone have any live bootlegs/clips from the late 80s shows?

For crying out loud and
Frying pan

are my two favorites. But CHSIB, Did I say that and Tear me down recorded at the Cologne-concert in Jan 2003 are veeeerrrrrrrrry nice. Not only because they are new, but because Meat sings the wrong line in Did I say that and it was the FIRST live playing of them...

Really cool to hear and to know I've been there.

Love

I agree with Rampant. The wasted youth speech and everything louder than everything else is one of my firm favourites, I know it word for word and actually knowing it has made me some friends! Meat gives every song he sings his all, and because of this, I have never heard a song of his before that I havent liked!

The last time I saw Meat Loaf we got a verse and a bit of For Crying out Loud and that just made it for me! - It was amazing. The performance part of Paradise is always really funny and obviously BOOH just blows the roof off!!!

Im not sure if you are making a dig at me here and you may think that Bootlegs are bad and im sure there are a lot of people who would agree with you but lets face it, they exist and I happen to have some and im glad I have, otherwise I wouldn't have heard the song that I mentioned in my original post, which has given me pleasure to listen to.

Just got a copy of the Austrailian CHSIB Album. It got a bonus Live CD which includes CHSIBM, this is an awesome live track, the one minute intro is superb followed by superb vocals from Meat and Patti can't wait to see it performed in the flesh next month (fingers crossed).

i wonder what meat would make of that, having bootlegs in you posession.its also not too smart to admit having bootlegs on a site like this.i really really would like to know from meat himself( not the fans opinions) on bootlegs and bootlegging.we all know what fans think, its wrong and bad and sick.so it would be nice to hear from meat himself one day.

If the net is the only way to get a version of a song, of course people are going to get it and burn it to cd. Same as if you see it on a car boot sale or Market. Calling it bad and sick, I think there are more things in this world to call bad and sick, before a bootleg.

How do you know that all fans think bootlegs are wrong?

I have my own opinions on bootlegs and I don't care what anybody else thinks.
The original topic is about your favourite Live version not about Bootlegs - I was just saying that my fave live version happens to be on a bootleg - don't come on here trying to make me look bad for having bootlegs in my possesion.

Hear! Hear!

(I have a few very treasured Roy Orbison bootlegs in my possession!)

Most songs I have are on CD bought from shops/ebay/ etc. Bootlegs just enhance my collection! For every bootleg I probably have 20 or thirty of the genuine article!

I think there are likely to be NO fans of any artist who ONLY have bootlegs in their collection! Most bootlegs are inferior to the genuine article, and we get them to get a different slant on a song, or they are precious to us because we were at the concert where they were recorded.

I don't honestly think any artist is worse off because fans have bootlegs - they are an addition to, not a replacement for genuine songs.

Just my thoughts.

let me tell you something i only wrote what i did just to see if anyone would agree with me.as ive read on here before about bootlegs being horrible sick wrong and just plain insulting to the artist.i wrote what i did just to see if anyone had an opposite opinion to my reply, and its obvious some of you do.i am not againt bootlegs at all, infact i have plenty in my possesion.i dont feel guilty for saying what i have as it was a test to see if people agreed with me or not.pm me if you are intrested in any trading.also kick me from the site if what i have said has broken any rules.
